Just wondering if I should let these go longer before flowering they are blue cookies and jack herer growing in 4 by 4 by 6 tent using ffof and Coco perlite mix for soil and planted from seed on Nov 12 2018
First question is what kinda light is that? Second question how big is your space? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Your working with 16 square foot for around 33 watts per square foot. It’s suggested to be around 45-50 watts per square foot. You probably don’t have enough light to flower that whole space. I’d veg a little bit more set your pots in a way that would fit your light foot print and then flower. Or get another light or two to round out your grow to 50 watts per square foot and then flip. You can flip them at this size but don’t expect much yield especially with your wattage being off! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I have my lights at about 22 inches rite now can I go closer without hurting them and I'm looking to get a vipraspectra 600 or 900 for flowering so that would bring me up 2 around 800 true watts
I was going to Veg for 2 more weeks cause I just transplanted into the 5 gallon pots and have been doing training and topping so wanted to give 2 weeks to recover
Fine for airy buds for sure! But the lux of 30watts per square begs to differ. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

Also was wondering what I should be doing for watering since my mix is half Coco half soil and what is optimum pH for my blend and should it always be moist cause I read I shouldn't be letting it dry out before watering
You shouldn’t even be judging LED by watts in the first place. You don’t know what you’re talking about. You can very successful grows with his setup.
I I keep my lights as close as possible without causing any harm. I grow in full coco and water every morning. I use organic nutrients and keep my ph around 6.6 to 6.8
You judge them by par and lux. But generally that’s above the heads of newer growers. 30 watts per square will not give you the lux you need for dense colas like these. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
