first grow

  1. Hey guys whats up this is my first grow. I got 7 seeds from a friend, germinated them and they all worked out nicely. Heres pictures from day 7 in the grow, they are streching a bit but i have a small fan on them now so hopefully that will strengthen up the stems. They are sitting in Schultz premium potting soil. Lights on 24/7 , any sugesstions on cheap lights i could get when they get bigger, im only keeping 2-3 of them. Thanks guys

  2. What kind of light is on them now?
    Are you going to use HID lights or floro??

  3. Usually if someone wants to go cheap on the lights they get CFL's. Theres plenty of info on them if you read around. I might as well say it.... you need to get your lights closer. If the main stem is that long with that few of leaves, then the plant is trying to stretch to get closer to the lights.

  4. Haha the light i have right now is a 120 watt floro i think, its pretty weak i just used it so i could start, thats why im buying more

  5. you need to drop your floro's to like 2"-3" away from your plants, thats why they are stretching so much, drop your light right on top of em. the floro's run so cool they can actualy touch the leafs and still be ok

    closer = better with floros!

    and, unless you went and bought a special floro bulb, your prolly running 20watt floro tubes, do u know which color range they are? (mostly advertised as "dailight" or "cool" )

  6. try envirolites they are better than flouros and cheaper than hps or mh with a fraction of the running cost

  7. You really need to get some proper lighting.
    They are stretching badly and will keel over soon if you don't fix it.
    If you want to grow with fluro's (not recommended for flowering) you need to get as close to the light as possible, 1 inch is good if you got a 20W or so fluro, a few inches for a big 200W bulb.
    Also, don't expect anything usefull to grow beyond 1 foot distance from the bulb with fluros.
    Maybe less for lower wattage systems.
    Good luck!
