Hey all. I am doing my first grow. I have read through most of kamels cfl thread and this is what I've got so far. I've got 21 plants I've started to grow. I am planning on half of them being male so I don't actually expect to grow 21 plants. I have 4 growing shelves and as they grow larger I can spread them out among the shelves. I used the paper towel method to germinate 11 seeds and I put them in the larger jiffy pots. I put 10 ungerminated seeds in the small jiffy pots. So far three of them have sprouted. I used African violet potting soil from miracle grow and for the veg nute I am going to use miracle grow all purpose plant formula (12 4 8) and for flowering I have miracle grow cactus food. I have them under 6 26w cfls and as the weeks go on I will buy more to Accommodate the number of plants I have. I'm only planning on growing the plants to about 2 feet tall and I'm going to preflower as to weed out all the males early Since I'm in such a confined space. What he said. Miracle grow works in a pinch (and I personally think a small amount added to a mix is okay) but it looks like you specifically bought miracle grow. Your bud is probably going to taste like chemicals. As far as having 21 plants.....you're going to have to add 10-20 times more light to support that many. Just my suggestions. I can take the miracle grow back to Walmart. That's no big deal. Any suggestions for nutes that I can find locally? As for the lights I have already planned on buying more as the time goes on. I have 2 42w lights I need to buy ballasts for before I can use them. Cooling and ventilation are not an issue because I am growing in the closet that my air conditioner is in. So far I've been going the organic route, with the acception of adding Superthrive to help my plants build stronger root systems. You can get ferts from home depot or Lowes for pretty cheap. I'll post pics when I've got it done." Keep in mind that with CFLs you can put them as close as 4" away from your plant for optimum light efficiency. Hello! i need help! Indoor grow, Northernlights Auto. This is around the 13th day of my grow from germination and tiny white dots started showing up. Could anyone help me and suggest what it could be. I know it might be mites.. but how !? could it be something else?
I took the miracle grow ferts back to Walmart and bought 8 more lights and some mylar. They were out of the socket adapters. I think I bought the last of them on Friday. I put the mylar up and added 4 more lights for now. I didn't notice any major growth but that may be because the lack of lights I had. I watered them and put them up for the day. I will also be adding a fan soon. How do you know when your plant is telling you that it needs re potted? Grow it and smoke it... Hopefully.

Thanks. I did some reading on your problem. Are the white dots on the bottom of your leaves or just the tops? And how close and what kind of lights are you using. Grow it and smoke it... Hopefully.
Thanks! The dots started purely on the top. I could say, that there was a drop of water and overnight under the lights, in the place of the droplet of water there was a very few white/gold dots. Since then its getting worse, its spread to another leaf, even started making holes and eating up the leaf.( Not significantly) and its still growing. 400W Hps. For some reason i cant upload the photo.
So I showed my girl the grow space and I think it would scorched her retinas. Grow it and smoke it... Hopefully.
Toss up a pic or two so we can see. Makes it easier to give you a guess!! How big is it? Whats it in now, etc...?
