First Grow

  1. Doing my first grow ever ... Started these gurls back in March inside, & transferred them outdoors the first week of June. This is definitely a learning process. I think my plants look pretty kinda Okay considering I had zero knowledge of growing. Well I thought I knew a bit, but I am realizing just how little I actually know. I have one Unknown strain that has been flowering for a few weeks now, and I believe the other 3 are just starting to flower, 2 being Acid, and 1 Afghan Kush. I have used zero nutrients with these plants, but I had watered with my Nirvana bloom enhancer throughout Veg. I was reading that the flavour can be adjusted by watering with different kinds of juices, but must be cured properly in order to remove all the sugars the plant takes in. Has anyone ever done this?

  2. Your plants look healthy I think, I'm not an outdoor grower myself, but they look very healthy.

As far as using juices for flavor? Maybe you read about organic teas? These could be very good sources of food for your plants if you can brew the teas. I don't have the space for organics, if you could brew the teas your plants would love you for it!

I've been looking at information on this thread...very helpful, tons of tea recipes. http://forum.grasscity.com/organic-growing/333940-post-your-organic-tea-recipe.html :bongin:

  4. I have herd of the organic teas that people have been using, & it sounds as like they do wonders for the plants. I would love to mix a tea for my ladies, but unfortunately I am unable to acquire the necessary ingredients. (Maybe next years grow) I was listening to some people talk about adding concentrated juices to the plants during bloom, and the plants supposedly suck up and retain the flavor. Something about giving my girls a drink of juice somehow just doesn't seem right. When it comes time to harvest I see the best way to judge is by looking at the trichomes with a microscope & wait till they are milky and just starting to turn amber. Unfortunately I don't have a microscope yet, nor will I be leaving this island anytime soon. I have a pretty good camera, think that would work if I zoomed right in? lol I took these pictures with my lower end camera, and they seemed to pick up the trichomes pretty okay. Is this a good enough view of the trichomes to judge harvest? Thanks for your input =) Greatly Appreciated! The windows viewer allows to be zoom in pretty close with this resolution.
