First grow week 7 flower + veg closet

  1. Just looking for abit of drying advice and to show off my first attempt as I'm pretty impressed with myself. Although amnesia haze didn't have the greatest start she's turned into a monster, well to me for my first ever seed popped!
Some pictures through so far... 2. I have a veg closet on the go too.

My question is do I need a humidifier to dry in a closet my aim is for Sticky dense but dry buds.

I'm so scared I'm going to mess up the drying and curing process I want to absorb as much advice as possible.

    Thanks in advance 20190228_225650.jpg

  3. Congrats on making it this far with your grow.
Ideally you'd want your humidity around 55% for the first few days of drying. Then lower it to about 50% for another few days. After that you can keep it at around 45% until the stems break with a nice clean snap. If your drying closet's humidity is too low, then a humidifier could work to bring it up a bit. Just be sure to watch that the humidity doesn't go too high. A small fan blowing gently against the walls would be nice too, but not too hard. You don't want your buds to dry too fast either. Don't allow the buds to touch while they dry. This has worked for me. Good luck.

  4. Watch that low humidity can dry quick. Leave all the leaves on and hang plant whole to slow the drying process. I recently dried in about 35% humidity and plants that produced a quarter pound were dry enough for jars in 4 -5 days. Hung dried them whole with all the leaves attached

  5. Thank you. I must admit I'm so happy with the way all my plants are coming on. I seem to have a nack for it. And I can sit with them for ages just watching. Haha I love them.

Yes, the worry for me is it drying too quickly and becoming dusty stalk powder, i have brought this type of 'home grown' bitty crap before and prefer a solid dry but sticky bud and I would like to get my drying process bang on, I believe I probably will need a humidifier to dry, and a fan on low to move the air, but to drop humidity over the first week is a good plan to ensure it's a slower drying process I think I will try this. I took 2 samples last night to have a mini drying trial, so I'll try this method I think.

    Thank you

  6. Yes I did think I will probably dry as a whole plant.. 35% humidity? That is approx (mabey just slightly higher) the natural humidity in the closet I plan to use so mabey it won't be as bad as I expect? Haha fingers crossed.

    Thank you

  7. Ooh anyone tried stabbing/ splitting stem of the plant to boost tricome production in its final stage? Does it work? Thanks

  8. I'm still waiting on my magnifier. Am I still in the safe zone 7 weeks in? Massive midget auto I think has about 1 week left? Any ideas?

  9. So massive midget (first ever harvest) dried out for 5 days in closet and although stems wasn't snapping I had to jar it due to amnesia developing lots of red tricomes more cloudy than red of course but I had to chop her. She is now drying out.

Massive midget weight jarred up 26.56grams
I am happy for a first auto grow it's not home bad. I'm more hopeful for amnisea dry weight! Haha 20190311_102417.jpg
