I Am thinking about purchasing a fish tank that is 36" high and 24"x24" at base. I Have a 5 gallon pot that will fit right inside the fish tank. Underneath i am going to put a heating pad and inside i will have wet sponges to keep the temp up as well as humidity. Exhaust on top. Will be using fox farm blue label soil and not sure which seeds to get.... www.bcbuddepot.com is where i will be getting seeds. I got seeds there before and they came with excellent packaging. Which seeds would grow best in the tank off that site? Also i have 100 watts of Floro lights 10,000 lumens. Mixture of soft whites and Daylight bulbs. Is this a good setup? can somebody please post more info about this setup or any information i need or anything i am missing. I will be growing in my closet so if this is good or bad let me know. Also reccomendations are needed Thanks grass city
I'm no expert, but I'm not sure the fish tank is a good idea. I'm assuming you mean the opening is on the top? Like a hex-shaped tank maybe? You're going to need ventilation and access from the side/bottom. Remember you have to water it and stuff. And fish tanks are pretty expensive, so you might be better off looking for a cheap, light-proof wood/plastic cabinet from the local home center. Heck, you could buy new tools and wood and MAKE one for a lot less than the price of a fish tank big enough for a grow.
i priced fishtanks and im signed up for petco pals so i get a tank for 40 bucks Whats the best way to get ventilation in a fish tank?
I have always believed the best way to grow is outdoors. your banged to rights if you get cought indoors..use the plants natural environment.. never heared of no one growing from a fish tank. plz tell us how things go with the tank
either get a tool that can cut the glass without cracking it. or do something like this. I know I draw like a 7 year old , but anyway, the bigframe is your fish tank, it has the pots with the plants inside, is mostly covered and in the 2 corners you have 2 tubes coming, one has in intake fan in the end and one has an outtake fan in the end (fans not drawn). what do you think?
