First grow tent in clothing closet, can I still use it?

  1. Sorry if this sounds ridiculous but I'm not personally familiar with cannabis. I've been doing a ton of research to put together a small grow. So here's the details.
2'x2'x4' grow tent inside a 6'x2'x8' closet that has a wooden shelving system installed. Here's my question, if I have the tent in 1/3 of the closet can I use the rest of the closet to store shoes, jackets, bags, etc or will everything in the closet start to smell like whatever stain we're growing. Only one plant will be grown at a time. We will install a carbon filter in the tent, DIY one I saw on here, with a 6" online fan for smell.

  2. Of course you can grow in a closet like that with everything in it. Funny. I'm growing in my closet with the exact dimensions and same tent. Yes your things will smell if you don't filter the air, mostly just in flowering I've noticed the smell really sticks to whatever is in the closet. When I've filtered it (like the carbon one you've stated you'll make) I haven't had any problems.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Same size closet as well! My tent is 36x20x62 You might want to take your clothes out to make more room for you. Cause once you set everything up, it maybe cramped in there! my selfs lifted right off. Plus I had to take the pole down cause it was a tight fit. I have sliding doors on I had to take off. Good Luck

  4. Thanks! I'm hoping the carbon filter will be good enough and we won't have any problems. We have another closet the same exact size, just have too much stuff lol

I just put nthe tent together and had to take off one of the sliding doors. We aren't necessarily going for stealth, it's just the only space we really have in our private room (share a house with roomies). I'm going to put a HEPA air filter in our room too.

Now I wait for the seeds and lights to arrive....
