First grow set up. Also nutes?

  1. Hey so here is the situation.

I Have 15-20 plants that are 2-3 feet tall from top of bucket. I have 3 available lights and so far plan on having 2 HPS lights and 1 MH in the middle for flower.

I have a decent amount of space- 10 feet by 5 feet.

I have a 10 inch blower fan- that should be good enough for 3 lights right? It will be blowing cold winter air into the 10x5 room. Or is that too much air?

So I know that the plants are already big for indoor- especially since I have so many.. But I will begin LST tomorrow and bend them down to flower in 2 days. This way they will all be same height and all the tops will start growing up in a line of tops.

Anyways what I am mostly asking is what nutes I should use/get. I am going to a store to buy 2 ballasts, PH pen, new bulbs, and some other random stuff for the setup. I do not want to play with AN.. unless there are a few ‘must haves'. So which nutes should I buy for this first indoor grow? I can foliar feed or water- I planted in soil.

Am thinking about Lucas. Or just maxibloom the entire time-up till 2 week flush.

That should be everything.. If you see any advice or points you see that might be problematic then let me know!

    Thanks :D

  2. I'd suggest a 1 part grow formula, it makes it easier. I've personally used both CNS17 and Dyna-Gro.

CNS17 is cheap, and awesome. Only downside is that you MUST mix it very well before you put it on your plants. It's a thick chunky nutrient system. All I did was stick a small pump in a 5 gallon bucket and let it run overnight in RO water.

Dyna-Gro is pretty awesome too. I've gotten decent results with it, and it's simple to use. No need for mixing like the CNS 17. The CNS17 is cheaper I think.

If you've got a pump or a way to mix this, like a cement mixer on a drill, then go for the CNS17. If not, I'd suggest the dyna-gro.

I run rooted clones with no veg into flowering. I run my EC with dyna-gro around 1 EC the entire cycle and I have really great results.

  3. Fox farm nutes are good

  4. For your first grow, go with something not too expensive, so that if you damage the plant or it is a male, you don't feel that you have thrown money away.

A nute package that is fairly even in all nutes will work well for first time growers.

18-18-21 Miracle Grow Tomato has never let me down. I'm not new to growing, but it is all I use, with great results for years!

  5. I ended up buying maxibloom.. A guy who yields well and has grown for years feeds his plants 1 tsp maxibloom per gallon of water from seed to flush. Last 5 days before flush he uses like 1/2 tsp of koolbloom... I was at the store and saw these.. so for now this is the method I will try.

If you see something I should do differently or add to the formula let me know.. I will also look into your methods if this grow does not go well..

  6. Few questions though, I do not know all the abbreviations yet.. So can you explain what EC is? Also, The CNS17 and Dyna-grow.. Are they single bottles/bags of nutes or are they a few different things mixed?

And also do you SOG? Because you said you flower clones right when they root...

What is your setup/yeild... Also plants per light? What lights?

    Thanks!

  7. Aha Ok.. Ya, sounds super simple and especially good for a beginner.. Though same question to you, what is your light set up/plants under in flowering? And what do you yield per plant?

    Thanks!

Check out my log, it's in my sig. Simple setup, usually 1-3 ounces depending on the size of the box I make. I try out every stealth grow box I find feasible. Right now I'm using stacked Rubbermaids. I don't need to be stealth, as I own a couple homes, but I prefer that no one except you blades knows what's going on in my closets!

After each grow I sell the grow boxes!

Also, I use CFL's, at least 130-ish watts per plant.

  9. Ah ok.. But I am not growing stealth now.. do not need to, so our set ups will be completely different..
