Hey GC. This seedling is 13 days old. Does its size look about right? Also, Any idea whats up with my bigger girl? I changed from a HPS to a CMH bulb and my temps went way down, but the taco leaves (heat stress) haven't gone away yet. I just took her out of the cab and sprayed her down and put her in front of a fan. Also, pH wise I get ~7.3 in the soil (in the big one not the seedling)... But my tap water is 8+ Should just getting my water down to a reasonable level be enough?
What size pot is the big one in? are roots coming out the bottom? Sorry cant help you with PH other then your aiming for 6.5 so i figure you want to be putting in something to lower the PH of your water. Search some threads on what exactly. Little one looks ok, but nearly time to repot from my tiny experience
And, are you letting the soil dry out between waterings? Drooping can be from over or under watering. What were/are your temps at soil level?
Canopy temps were ~88F previously - soil around 82F. Now around 78F canopy 72F at soil. I changed bulbs and my ventilation setup. I have been watering every 3 days. Just water for the past 2 weeks, but did 1st feeding of FF Grow Big yesterday. I sprouted her 8/1 so she's about 60 days old. took some clones that ended up not working. She might be a little root bound, but its a 3gal pot. She's currently in some home made soil (EW castings, lime, peat, perlite, organic soil) while the seedling is in Happy Frog
No nutes until 60 days might be the problem? Again, not sure so you'd have to search it but most people add nutes after 2-3 weeks i believe. But then, your using home-made soil so it doesn't need as much nutes. Go with PH too high Get PH down from pet store or hydro shop.
she did get some generic 20-20-20 MG at 1/4 strength for a while, but then just h20 for a couple weeks. I just put some coffee grounds mixed into the topsoil, I'll water it in 2 days after the soil drys out some more. the coffee grounds will hopefully lower the pH a bit.
i'd bet that most of your problems are because of your high ph.sort the ph as this can slow down the growth.use some dolmite lime added to phed watter to bring the soil ph down. giorgio you should not be giving info to people untill you know what you are talking about
A newbie replying is better than no replying! Lol, i didnt claim to know what i was talking about Just tryin' to help, i know what its like waiting for someone....ANYONE to reply to a sick plant thread
