  1. Hey everybody, this is my first time growing. Here are some pictures of two of the five plants. How do they look? and How old they look? Any suggestions are welcome, anything you think I should be doing, anything you want to add is cool. Thanks.

  2. hey man welcome to the forums, im basically a noob myself but from my limited experience id say those look about a week old, and lookin healthy, when they grow abit more theyr gona need transplanting, couldnt tell you exactly when though, good luck!

  3. welcome and id say get rid of the tin foil and replace with white poster board, as for age id say 1-2 weeks depending so good luck and the reason i say that about foil is the crinkles can focus light on your plants and burn them also white is more reflective-

  4. hey great! it's actually already white underneath the foil. I had gotten the idea from other pictures I'd seen. thanks!

  5. looking good what lights you using?

  6. heh, actually, to be honest, this is the first night/day they have been under "lights". Before, I had them just on my window sill because I wasn't serious about growing, but they popped up so I decided to get serious. So for the last 2 weeks just sun light, but right now until I go get a good light, just a regular cylinder shaped 40W 120V bulb. I was going to ask, whether I should get a fluro or a HPS. I would like to keep my space limited to about 1-1/2 ft X 2 ft. I have read that HPS might be too strong to be that close, so I was thinking a fluro instead. What do you think?

  7. eh im using flouro

depends on money if you are on a low budget get flouro if you have some more to spend hps

  8. Hey, congrats on your good-looking little seedlings! As far as HPS vs Fluoro, I personally went with Fluoros... one of the main deciding factors for me was the fact that "The high-pressure sodium lamp has a maximum arc tube temperature typically above 2000F (1100C)." Since you are growing in a very contained space you may also wish to consider that (especially when combined with the knowledge that your fire insurance is null and void if you are found to have been growing marijuana). Good luck, keep us posted!

  9. Thanks for the advice, I decided to go with fluros. It is pretty amazing, they have grown more in the last day (under lights) than in the last 4 days. I'll take some more pictures in a few days to let you guys see the progress.

  10. lookin good! keep up the good work!!
