    Hi Folks!
This is my first real grow and thread here on grass city.. i've read every thread of the grow section since last september to acquire the shared knowledge of you all.. :D

I started the grow this September in a 2x2ft and 6ft tall Grow-Tent, with a 200w cfl full spectrum bulb under a Hood for veg+flower..germinated the seeds in a cup of water for 12h and then set direct in their final container: a 5l pot :)
The soil has a ph of 6,9, and they grew out quickly.
The ventilation system consists of a small fan, that blows the fresh air from the Top of straight downwards, to the hood, trough the plants and then out of a "Exhaust" at the height of the pots..
After week 2 i watered them twice a week with mid-to strong fertilization on every second watering..
    I use CANNA Terra Vega.. NPK: 3 1 4.. 50ml to 10l..
Now they are a month old and i topped them and let them with duct tape to develop more onto branches  the plant that looks a little bit strange, the foremost right, in the first and in the last pic, was fimmed at the third node and has developed 4 big stems instead of two big, and 6 smaller branches..
i topped the others at the 8th node..

i decided to share some pics..
    Critics are welcome!

I took the pics with my mobile so they look a little bit darker than it really is :p In the second picture i tried to setup a scrog net but in the end i took it off because i wasn't too sure that they'll need one..plus it was a pain to water them with that net..

this is at week 2 :)

:wave:what do you think about them?:D

  2. They are looking healthy, green and thriving.

What is the size of the flower area you are going to use and what's the wattage?

  3. my idea is to build a giant growbox with wood and white plastic foil.. for the lights...two 400w hps :) this light here is 200w...

  4. do you think a bigger envoirment and a small scrog per plant would improve the results?
as you can see in the second picture i had the thought of setting up a scrog...

  5. I think your plants look great my friend. Looks like they really dig the 200 watt CFL. I have a 456 true watt CFL hood that I veg some plants with. Looks to me like you did your homework before you started your first grow. Seems like most young noobs just throw a seed in some yard dirt, pour a gallon of fertilizer on it, then start a thread titled "Why is my plant dying!" LOL! Your doing great!! Check out my grows sometime. They are in my profile.

  6. Thanks alot! Yeah, sad but true.. :smoke: what do you think about setting up a small scrog over every plant singularly? :) i'll check out your grows now :)

  7. I have done compact grows and large area grows. I have found if you are limited on space, a good tight scrog is your best friend. Make sure that if you build a tight canopy, to clip anything not getting direct light so that all growing and bud swell is concentrated in "light" area.

  8. Ok, thanks for the tip! When do you know they are ready for scrogging?
I want to supercrop them too, without stressing them too much, so they get thicker branches and transport more energy to the tops.. :)

[IMG] Pic that i took today, after placing them onto these two wooden boxes to reach down to them easier.. :)

  10. They look big enough to start scrogging now, just depends if you want to do one net for all of them or if you want to have each on thier own scrog.

I saw yesterday that home depot had some premade round metal scrog nets with posts.

Ok then i'll build a screen for them.. :) i noticed that two of them are a little smaller than the other four, so i tought that i could take them out and let them under the 200w and get a air cooled 400w hps for the others that stay in the tent..
I dont know this store  btw, i'm from the old continent.. :p

  12. Today I needed to set a scrog screen on one of my moms, so I photographed it step-by-step.

    1) gathered supplies: Twine, Dowel Rods, Scissors and dabs :)

    2) I precut the dowels to the desired length. I started her late in a scrog, so her netting is higher than I would normally do. She is about 18" tall, I would normally start at 12".

    3) I secure the dowels to the outside of the container and begin building hte canopy net.

    4) How she looks after weaving a net with nine inner squares.

    5) I have moved her upper budding locations outward to get more budding sites underneath. I clipped off all the lower branches as they were not going to be getting light and just dying off.

Then back under the bright lights she went.

  13. does the twain have to be under tension or can it hang a bit loose? :) i clipped the lowest branches too, and supercropped those who i didn't last time.. :D they developed a lot of new growth in the last days :D today they received some nutes too :p now i go out with my girl.. tomorrow I'll build the scrogs and maybe take them to a new location :)

  14. I keep mine under a bit of tension, so it forces the branches to grow out instead of up. It's "tough love" to train them, but it pays off at harvest time!

  15. How much % more weight do you harvest from a plant with screen, than from one without? :) :smoke:

  16. As long as they are trained most of thier way through veg, there will be an increase. For example:

Most of my yeilds are 1 oz per 1 gal of soil. Scrog increases that to 1.5 -2 oz per gallon.

If you want ULTIMATE YEILDING then get 10 gal containers and veg for 4 months with a scrog. Your yeilds will be in the 1-2 pound (yes, 16-32 oz) range per plant. Mind you, this will occupy a 4*4 footpriny all by itself :D

  17. Sounds very nice :Q_ :D cleaned up the cellar today.. one of these days i'll move my growroom :) the area is ca 2 square meters:)

  19. Hey man these are looking great. i have a similar setup to you and am hoping you can give me a quick bit of advice. I normally grow seedling a bit under an 18w cfl, however the bulbs just gone and i dont have time to get another one. The plants are the lenght of a finger and just the two long leaves. I only have a 200w cfl do u think its safe to put that on now with good ventalation and distance? from your post it sounds like u did that?
ALL ffeedback is so helpful need to no asap

  20. I love it when awesome pics of bud porn are included in journals, count me in!
