  1. hello grasscity here goes my first post :p

when I say budget, I mean BUDGET!
I'm using kellogg Patio Plus soil, drinking water, 2 13 w cfls and a little oscillating fan

I know i wont get very far with this setup but i just wanted to see where i can get

i have one random bagseed about 9 days old (i think?)
it looked really healthy at first, but now the leaves look like this

the tips of the first pair of leaves are really dark, curling under and the very tips are dead
the second pair of leaves are also curling under

the new leaves coming in seems to be darkish green in the middle, then yellower on the outside.

    any tips will be appreciated
i suppose ill keep this plant updated until it dies

  2. Looks to me like mainly phosphorus deficiency if my research is correct cause most likely by a Ph issue.

Is it possible to fix this without a Ph testing kit? As I mentioned before, I'm on a VERY tight budget i mean like 10 dollars tight.
    :p
thanks in advance to helpful people :)

  3. I hope those clear cups have some sort of a black tape around where all the soil is.. Or something to prevent light from hitting the dirt, you will get a fungus or algy build up(cover it up with some tape.)

It might be time to give it a little tiny bit of feed(Hope you have some nutes for vegging :p)

As the above poster said, if you are not correcting or adjusting the PH of your water then its most likely a nute lockout - Salts will be forming - get on top of this pretty soon or you will have to do a flush(can be stress full) - Your cup has drainage holes right?

How often are you watering it ? Drooping leaves could be overwatering i believe? (Someone confirm :p )

  4. so far, ive only watered it once after planting. but the leaves aren't only drooping, they're very dark colored at the tips and dead at the very tips

sorry i dont have better pictures my phone camera sucks balls ):

and yes i do havve drainage holes but i didn't know about covering the cups! thanks! :)
and i have no feed, no money for feed, but maybe i can use something else instead of feed? like perhaps human food like ive heard using various fruit peels and stuff
can anyone explain to me what options i have?

  5. are there any very cheap ways to measure ph and fix it with some ph ups and downs?

Havnt heard of such things, be interesting to find out, cost me $8 for my feed lol

As for PH up and down, i think back soda acts as an UP, and vinegar can be used as a down, but i dont believe you can use this as a long term solution. Its one of those HELP ME bandages when you run out of PH up/down

EBay and amazon place have cheap meters, my local shop had a drop tester for $3.50 (800 tests or so)

  7. what kind of feed are you using?
