This is my first grow and im growing in a closet in the standard bubbleponic system with 2 cfls. Its day 45. after two weeks they were about this size with much less leaves and my insulation fell onto them and broke there stems so i helped them back up with wire and now they have taken off again but i left for spring break for a week to come back to more insulation problems and another piece fell on them, they didnt get damaged but the light was blocked on them for at least a day at most a week because i was gone and couldnt check on them. I have zero nutrients in them right now because i think i screwed em up putting nutirents in them after two weeks and the third week instead of feeding them slowly i dumped the whole nut pack in there. the greener fooliage on top is what they have done the week i have been gone with no nutrients. They have been through a hell of a ride already and i need i love em to death and need some serious info on where to go from here. ANY help appreciated
they sure have Stool. Growing is difficult if your'e not going to be around to regularly check on your crops condition. Using wire to brace the stem wasnt a bad idea but if these are all the results youve gotten after 45 days then it may be time to call it quits and start over. Refine youre setup so that you wont have to worry about insulation falling on your babies and such. However, if you plan on keeping them i would suggest adding more light because i dont know what kind of CFLs youre using but only having 2 wont cut it. Im currently growing one plant and i was using (4) 100 watt CFLs which worked beautifully for veg. And if youre serious about nutrients look into foxfarm or advance nutrients, but youll need to do the research to find what will work best for your setup. Also, do you have any sort of ventilation? Fresh air greatly effects stem growth and strength that will help your ladies stand on their own. Best of luck, hope i was some sort of help, im a novice grower myself.
SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Dual Spectrum Bubbleponicsâ„¢ Complete Kit this is the exact setup I have and yea I have ventilation setup, just a box fan blowin on em.. I have extra lighting to go up as they get bigger just 2 more 100 watt cfl's. I cant kill em and start from scratch. they are my babies and i just cant pull the trigger. im using the fertilizer when the time comes that came with my setup. and as far as not being able to tend them for a week, well i love em but wasnt skippin spring break for em. insulation problem also fully taken care of today. added a few more pics to show what im workin with and for any more suggestions. precciate it JGA.
I know what you mean about not being able to pull the trigger, and i dont at all blame you for wanting to keep 'em. I like the setup also, wish i had that much space to use. Seems like you beet me to the punch on everything i suggested haha, so sorry if i wasnt much help. Consider hanging those other lights though, I think you'll see a big difference.
You'll be better off starting again. For 45 days old, they are SUPERSMall, I've got 10 day old plant's grown in soil bigger than that. Plus, if they are female, they've been through so much stress already that they'll probably hermie or worse, turn all out male JGA is spot on with his diagnosis, more light, more venting and pay more attention to your babies. But yeah, sorry about how it sounds but it's in your best interest to start again, or at least get some new one's on the go while you try keep theseo one's going. If you do your next batch properly, after 14 day's, you'll think, fuck these dead ass runt's and work with your new younger bigger crop which if female, will obviously yield much better. I see you having to grow what you've got there for 3 years before you even get a gram out of it, although, if treated right, it can be saved but will most prob hermie. Good luck with whatever you decide to do
Tossed them out today...9 new ones germinating. this will not happen again thanks for your words of wisdom. cant be a boss till you take a loss
I love that quote, I'm alway's gonna remember it "cnt be a boss till u take a loss", that's real talk. Well done on your dicission, you won't regret it, just learn from that and you'll do much better with your coming 9. Just be more observant and increase light and ventilation and your babies will be A-ok
