hey guys ive been lookin at the growing section for a while now and ive decided to start my own... my space is a trunk that will b standing up so the plants are not that close to the lights... my questions are where can i get a timer for my lights and how much are they? also i plan on getting like 2 or 3 45 watt cfls for 2 female plants....can i get these at home depot or somthing along with the timer? any help would be great
yes, timers range between 5-50 dollars depending on basic or digital, home depot or any hardware hardware store chain.
in a few months im gonna go to my ACE hardware, they sell ones made for outdoor situations. The benefit of the outdoor ones is that they come with 3-5 grounded outlets, that means the 3 prong ones that are better anyway, and you can set them to like 8 different time settings or any kinda interval, they run like $30 max for the analog set ones, im sure the digis are more expensive. and i i go to wal mart for everything i need, i guess mine carries more lighting stuff than most, but home depot or lowes would do you fine, they have more knowledgable people there too...
just dont get a didgital timer if you are useing cfls they will burn out the built in ballast.i called GE to see why and thats what the tack told me and its rite on the pack of the cfls as well
