Hello! I have a Sour Diesel Auto - F. Set up is one plant (first grow so I'm going easy on myself) under 2 100w cfl 6500k with 18/6 light schedule. This is day four since sprouting. Can someone tell me if I'm "on track"?Should I have more foliage than this? I am in the stage of wanting to over-do everything so I need an outside voice of reason.
I started with 2 under 4 100w cfls. 2 over each. They took off fine. Even considering starting in bad soil. I just upgraded to a 450w led. You're on track. I kept mine under the cfls for a month lol. These pictures are from a week ago right before the move into the led tent. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Thanks! Do you start yours in smaller containers or plant directly into your final pot? I have read people swearing by both...
I have watered 250ml twice, most recently yesterday. Unfortunately I am waiting on my pH equipment to arrive. Thank goodness for Amazon prime. I'm paying attention to soil wetness.

I started in smaller containers. Went to 1 gallons for like 3 weeks. Now I'm getting ready to go to 5 gallons and put then in their final home. I would have preferred to start in the 1 gallon though and went straight to the 5. The less stress the better. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
I would love to, but... first grow, ya know? It is on the upgrade list. Any suggestions? What should I be prepared to pay?
Soil dampness (I have a moisture meter and touch test) and I try to pay attention to the weight. I also am weary of overwatering..
The only thing you have to take into consideration is starting off in bigger pots means you're going to have to be careful with watering Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
So I hear. I hope my autoflower can handle it. They are supposedly fragile and temperamental.. I figured it was the perfect first plant! Haha!
Those autos will suck up 33% more nourishment from the light if you use 24-0 lighting. Or 11% more with 20-4 lighting.
I doubt it, but it might be prudent to increase a couple hours per day only, until getting the light schedule you want. Also, some breeders do recommend 18-6 for autos, so I'd double check.
Cfls are fine for veg but make sure you check the actual wattage not equivalent. Try and get at least 100-200 actual watts with cfls. If you can't it will gorow just slowly When going into flower I would consider upgrading your lights to something for powerful. 65$ will get you a decent led.
