Due to the heavy tax on my cash that buying weed from dealers requires iv finally decided to grow my own, the only problem is i only have a budget of say around £50-£100 at a push, equipment that i have already includes a standard size 2 door wardrobe Size: (H)180 (W)75, (D)53cm about 3 spare 80cm computer fans and the seeds, i have chosen Big Bud, and Misty. My Questions are as follows 1. What would be the best lighting solution for both space and budget? If i can get away with it id like to use the same lighting solution for both germination (growing) and flowering. 2. Which equipment can i get away with not having? as i doubt i could afford humidifiers and co2 tanks and have seen budget alternatives such as spraying fizzy mineral water. 3. What should i grow in? soil, compost, hydro, that rocky gravel stuff etc? 4. Which Nutrients do i need and not need if any, would a completely nutrient free grow be viable? 5. What sort of harvest can i expect from my budget setup in a wardrobe based on the seeds that i have bought (BIG BUD and MISTY) which i chose for their high yield and survivability. I Should also mention that i have a small amount of previous grow experience, but the seeds (white widow) that i germinated grew only to about 5 cm tall before dying probably due to me using 2 normal 60watt house light bulbs close to them with no ventilation (this is before any research when i thought it'd grow anywhere) i also used standard soil that i dug up from underneath some grass outside (in a city center) P.s. What could i possibly salvage that would be of any use, strangely enough i think there might be a H.P.S bulb in a spotlight attached to my house although I'm not sure on the wattage, its also worth mentioning that there is a building site not too far down the road that i could possibly pinch a few things from (stealing is wrong i know)
With a small budget you're going to want to go with fluorescent lights aka cfl's. The lights are cheap and you also won't need to worry about cooling nearly as much. Some things that you really need: ph checker, temp gauge, ph up and down, and a light proof growbox. Soil is the easiest and affordable. Get something with no fertilizers in it. You can grow without nutes, but your plants wont be as healthy so your buds wont be as good. My veg nutes are $8 bucks and flower are $15. Not that much. If you had 2 plants in there and covered the ceiling in flouro's, you could get about a ounce per plant. Those lights at the construction site aren't good for growing.
Ok thanks, i just read a post where a guy used cf l's from start to finish along with a little miracle grow and the plant didn't look too bad.
Miracle grow really isn't that great of a fertilizer for weed. I would recommend something organic for veg like fish emulsion.
