First grow in 6 years! Need some help things have changed in 6 years!

  1. Hey grass city, this my first grow in 6 years haven’t ordered everything yet but I’m getting there.
I’m thinking of going with the ac infinity 48x24 tent
    The mars hydro sp 3000
Going to be using ffof soil and nutes.
Just would like your thoughts and feedback on my supplies and any help and advise would be greatly appreciated. Things have changed a lot in the last 6 years and I believe it’s time I jump back into the game.

  2. Get the setup that works best for you and your situation......there have been plenty of advancements in lighting, grow mediums/ammendments, air circulation, etc etc....but what the plant likes and dislikes, and what makes them grow well, hasn't............so if you remember the PH levels and ppm targets and all of that, youll be set.

    Good luck.:passing-joint:

  3. Mars hydro… overhyped brand.

there are ton of lights out there for the same price or cheaper that outperform the Mars Hydro. Do your research. Don’t buy into the hype

  4. CMH lights are still highly competitive in the light market. Im sure LED is fine for veg but i just dont think I will ever try to flower with them. Gavita and LUX are still cranking out HPS lights for the commercial growers. Dont buy into all the hype not much has changed in 6 years. Two 315 cmh lights in a 2.5x5 tent is just about the perfect hobby grow in my opinion. Check the used market, im sure someone near you has a couple CMH lights for cheap.

  7. I haven't grown in 8 years. I'm also growing in a AC Infinity tent and accessories. I found a creative to hook the inline fan. Saved my grow as the plants over tripled in height. I'm not the first to set up the fan this way. So watch the height in your tent.

I have my return grow in a journal too.

Are you feeding them? You shouldn't be. What the pH of the water?

    Good luck

  8. hey man thanks for the reply I’ve seen you grow looks good man. As of right now I’m not giving anything but bottle water. I had my brother feeder them for me I don’t know if he checked the ph. That’s my plan first thing in the morning I figured it was a combination of hi or low ph and the light being too far away.

  9. How is the grow going?

  10. good good got better my brother had them planted in dr earth seed starter and didn’t tell me once we transplanted into the 3 gal fox farm they bounced back. also threw 2 Creme de la creme seeds in and they popped. I will keep you guys updated been busy with work. But how’s yours going?

  11. It's been 10 weeks and 3 days since flipping the light to 12/12. I so getting anxious to harvest; I am waiting for the trichomes to turn amber enough. I managed to get a photo of a few amber trichomes but ask me to do it again and I won't be able to do it. I bought some hygrometers and some Boveda humidity packets in preparation. Patience will be easier next time as I will have a nice stash to hold out til next harvest.

  14. Clearly you disagreed my post @Popcorn
Mind telling me the reason why you disagree? Because I can prove to you better LED’s for cheaper than those $1000 Mars hydros. Within the 1-1.5k range, you get better quality, waterproof, high efficiency LED’s. Not only that but it comes with UV LED’s as well which the mars hydro terribly fails at. Mars Hydro is a chinese company. They sell on Amazon. My companies I’m talking about are professionals and are US products. All specs about lights are given, with both in-house and third party testings to prove. These LED lights can be used at a closer height than Mars Hydro and still won’t burn. These guys also supply many many LP’s.

Now tell me again why mars hydro’s are not overpriced and overhyped?

  15. I've seen mars lights do ok so I recommended them to someone else recently. When we saw the prices we said oh well hps it is.

  16. Just some update any idea if that moss in the one picture is harmful to the plant??

    Attached Files:

  17. Moss means lots of water and humidity- to much water and humidity for weed to grow properly. Plant looking over watered for sure. The moss itself isnt a problem, its the conditions that allowed it to grow.
