Hey everyone. This is our first shot at seriously growing bud. We picked six Oaksterdam certified genetics clones of 707 Headband. Using a simple hand-fed hydro setup of 70/30 coco/perlite, we tend them with molasses-based Earth Juice nutrients. Runnin a 600 watt on a 24 hour veg, 13/11 then 12/12 flower light cycle. Our babies are flushing out very purple in these last few weeks, a trait we haven't seen in Headband before (and we've toked our fair share of this true regional strain). Thank you! Just a side note after too many broken air stones... Walmart.com: Aqua Culture: Bubble Aquarium Stone, 1 Ct: Fish This is the best air stone we have used so far. Only one side means the water very easily rinses through the whole stone quickly (leaving no residue) and it is way harder to break. Not to mention it really competes with hydro store prices (especially if you just walk out with them... for fuck's sake, it's Wal Mart). Also, there isn't a little piece of plastic planted into the end of the stone, meaning it can fall out and fall apart. The plastic part is built on so you'd really have to TRY to break this thing. Just a head's up! In case you hate air stones as much as we do.
Headband is NOT a purple strain!!! Check your temps. 78 during the day and 68 at night. to big a fluxuation at night will do this. it could also be a Lack Of Phosphorus in flowering. If you want em purple, turn the ac to 50 degress. watch how fast they turn.
Thank you :] Yield was a little over half a pound. We're on our second grow and we're trying out LST and supercropping for increased yield. We're also growing more indica-dominant strains; 707 headband has really strong sativa traits!
