Okay, so on Tuesday I started germinating some herb. To start, I put the seeds in a damp paper towel, then sealed it in a plastic bag with some air, then put it in the window sill. It took me a day to realize that I was doing it wrong. I took the towel out, and put it on a plate, then put it in my grow room and turned the lights off. I have done that for a little over a day, and still have nothing. I am kind of worried, because those where really good seeds and I only have a few more seeds. I took one seed and pushed it a little, it broke open, and inside it was like white and moist. Any given advise is thankful.

    In Advance, Thanks.

Well I don't know what to do with the seeds you are germinating now, but I always have luck using a damp paper towel in tupperware.  I keep them in a dark cupboard for two to three days till they sprout.  It works every time for me.  It simulates when it is growing in the ground. I have seen all sorts of processes.

This guy does all water - even though I would not do this.  Just saying there are all different ways.

Good luck, hopefully others have a solution too.

Mine took 4 days and are doing great now in day 35. I put them in between 2 moist paper towels for 4 days in a cabinet. All 3 seeds formed healthy tap roots.

  4. I just put seed in hempy cups. Can't overwater. Has never failed me yet.

  5. Put your paper towl inside a Tupperware container the put it on something that stays warm computer stereo receiver cable box whatever. See what the heat does is adds humidity so if the seeds are nice and damp and constantly warm they will pop in a day.

  6. you can just plant them directly into your soil and avoid all problems that arise from pre-germinating

  7. If you are growing in soil sow them about an inch deep and water in lightly. If you are growing in soil there is no need to mess about with paper towels, if it's going to be in soil at some point anyway just get it in there, it's the best medium for germinating anyway.

If growing in hydro I very lightly dampen a paper towel, fold it over, place the seed in the middle of the crease, put it in a sealed bag, stand it up on end and keep it about 25℃ and it will be ready to put in your hydro system in a few days

Either way takes a few days, up to a week sometimes, don't stress

  8. What I do is I get a damp paper towel, line a tupperware container with it, place seeds in and sandwich another damp paper towel over it and close it. I then put it in a tv cabinet right on top of my DirectTV box. The box keeps it warm and I put it far enough inside to be dark. Your seeds will germinate as long as they are moist, warm and dark. Covering the tupperware in a towel and putting it over your fridge is another way you can keep the seeds warm. Don't fret brah, everything will be okay!

If anything you could always sow seeds directly in your medium and water, that's how nature intended it to work anyways. Best advice I can say is be patient and dont keep opening the container to check. Place seeds inside your germination chamber and forget about it for 2 days. You might be pleasantly surprised when you open the container
