I have used these FoxFarm Hydroponic Nutrients with a lot of success. My plants seem to really respond well to them. I also tried the General Hydro FloraSeries Performance Pack but I think th FoxFarm did a better job for me. None the less, I think it is important to monitor PH with any of these nutrients.
so fr Humboldt has been pretty good. But I want to experiment with some different nutrients as well to see what works best for me. I just put in my order at my local store for the advanced nutrients sensi grow parts a and b and sensi bloom parts a and b. I'll be using those for a bit along with the Humboldt nutrients side by side to see if there is a big difference. Ppm went down from 499-436. She drank a half gallon of h2o also. I made a half gallon with 2ml micro, 5ml bloom, and 5ml koolbloom. Brought the ppm up to 486. PH was at 5.5 so I brought it up to 6.1. Well while checking things out tonight I took a very close look at my trichs. from what I can tell almost all the trichs have turned milky from clear. Tomorrow I'll be picking up a loup just to tell for sure. Found something out today that I have been doing wrong this whole grow. Apparently I'm supposed to mix my micro before the grow and bloom, I've always just done grow micro bloom. Doesn't seem like it affected it but I'll have to try it the correct way and see if there is a significant difference. i did that same method of mixing my 1st couple crops then my buddy told me to mix the micro first & also fill the nute rez with water 1st, then add your nutes 1 @ a time(micro ,grow,bloom).I do notice a difference in my crops but but i have made alot of other improvements to the show as well so who can say what is doing what!! I was told the reason to mix them that way is so that certain elements dont get locked out!!! thats all i know & it is just hearsay so take it with a grain of salt!!!!if you google how to mix gh nutes there is some vids backing up this claim
If you don't put in micro first then the nutes will stick together and form tiny bonds which makes the nutes slightly too large for the plant to take in. I can see some elements getting locked out from it. When I was using grow I had a bit of a zinc def the whole time but since I've stopped using the grow and micro going in first now I haven't had the zinc problem.
