I jumped into this and thought I’d give it a shot...now that the seeds are planted, I realize I know so little. A week ago I started the process on some auto flowering amnesia seeds. The three seeds popped in the paper towel and I put them in some happy frog soil in 4 gallon plastic pots. 2 of them shot up and had green leaves showing...one shot up and never put out anything green yet...maybe I damaged it or turned on my LED too soon? Anyway, I’m fine with only two plants. My main question is what nutrients do I need to add and when to the happy frog soil? I bought some General Hydroponics flora grow, flora micro and flora bloom. Not sure if those are appropriate or not? Much appreciated in advance.
Don't know much about that dirt, or any dirt, I'm a hydro dude. I use GH 3 part. Probably just water for now, after they are a foot or so then maybe mix a little at 1/4 strength. In those plastic pots, u got plenty of drain holes in there and you mixed perlite at about a 30% ratio to dirt right? Measure the run off of the water when you water it. You will be testing PH and PPM's. Oh all newbies over water, pick up the pot, if it's heavy leave it along, if light water it. Here is a PH chart, follow it like the King James bible.
Not too familiar with the type nutrients you bought but here is what I do , I let them get settled in the soil for 2 weeks using only mist and ph water , and I use organic compost worm casting tea , When they establish roots I start with Niteogen 1/4 strength for the first water Then full strength up until flower . I use roots organic Trinity at recommended strength And calmag at recommended strength. And for flower I use kool bloom by General Hydroponics Use 1/4 strength for the first feed or until they establish good roots I do what I call a WTF Water Tea Feed Works good for me . The nitrogen works well to keep them growing big through veg . Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Also happy frog should have enough to get you through a few weeks to let them acclimate to their environment. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Well if you are brave at heart, check out the Master Blend combo pack. Enough to last a year for like 40 bucks, add some flower fuel and silica and you control what the ratios of NPK all the way through. I'm experimenting with it now and so far it's great
