    Whats up!

I'm taking care of 3 girls, 2 autos and one fem. and one bag seed.

    Got em on dec.22.2016.
Put them in a wet paper towel to germinate on the 23rd.
They sprouted the nxt day after which ive put them in a biodegradable seed tray to strengthen a bit.
As soon as the first true leaves showed on the 27th ive decided to transplant them in to a 8L(2.1gal) smartpot. For the 2 autos it will be the final transplant and for the fem. i got a 5gal smart pot waiting to get more soil before the second transplant. The pictures of the seedlings are from the 28th.

They grow under a 600Watt HPS bulb in a 66x100x225cm/26"x39"x88" room. I dont have a cool tube, exhaust fan or a carbon filter so the heat and smell started to be an issue which, for now, got solved by building a "tent" around the door of the room allowing me to keep the door open and making it a bit harder for the air to get too hot. It works pretty good for now since the "tent" is connected to a window which makes it possible to manually vent out the room once in a while for some air exchange.

The soil i use is for flowers, a recommendation from the grow shop owner, didnt do much research on it. Even tho the substrate seems to have some nutes, I mixed it with a bit of bat guano powder/ 1-10-1 / and let it sit for a week before i used it to plant the seedlings. For veg I'll be using a grow liquid extract /6-3(n-k)/ and will also use the guano powder as a tea once the flower stretch stops or slows down. Ive read that the plants "talk" to you so imma try n listen the best I can to not over water underwater or feed them too much.

I'll keep the PH in check with a pen and if needed adjust the PH-up with lime or vinegar or PH-down with baking soda.

    More pics coming soon....

  2. Aerate that soil some.. perlite or European equivalent. That will help with your grow immensely.

    Welcome to the forums.

    I

  3. Thank you!!

I was hoping that the smart pot will be enough.
Its too late to mix the pebbles or perlite now right?

    Thanks again!!!

  4. Nope.. take a small plug around the sprout, remove it for time being then mix away. The lack of perlite certainly won't kill your crop and having the smart pot is great but it makes things a lot easier with watering.

Perlite and Pebbles not the same thing. I think it's fired volcanic rock or something and has good cec. Its a name brand here in the states not sure about the Balkans (balkans BTW pretty cool).. you probably know that just want to make sure something isn't getting lost in translation.

Looks great man! Looking forward to watching the grow!

  5. Appreciate that!!

shoot im already 4 weeks in to the grow. My bad. should have posted whats going on now. these are the same sprouts.
    IMG_6564.JPG IMG_0954.JPG

I was impatient after i found out the only store that got the plagron perlite ran out of it so just went with soil although the perlite was included in my soil recipe. Ive ben worrying about the soil not draining well throughout the whole grow and trying to be careful when watering. it seems fine for now.
Could it get worse? is there anything you can do once drainage problems show up??

I am looking forward sharing the rest of my grow!!!

  6. Use of perlite isn't mandatory. It just means you have to have more care with watering to maintain root health. The smart pots were a good start though. I'd stay the course and use perlite next time.

I use a Fox Farms soil with so much already in it that adding more is unnecessary.

I started drying them out a day before these pictures below. I was trippin that its gonna get water clogged or get root rot. They didnt look right the leaves were dry crispy, wilting, curling up, few were tuning bright green almost yellow, while the majority was dark green from the veg nutes also a couple burned tips showed up so that just added to the possible causes. They were telling me something I couldnt understand but wanted to help. So much information to process and take into consideration....new beginnings are always hard.
During those 3-4 days I slept only for couple of hours. The lights are on at night and work during day.Too much worrying is not necessary gotta take it easy step by step.

they are teaching me life lessons i thought Ive learned a while ago...guess u forget things.....concrete jungle would do that to ya...need to take it easy mOOOnnn and move forward...
