looking good . healthy plants . cant judge the yield yet they will continue to bulk up. it looks dense so the yield will look smaller but its not so it will be very solid and heavy. your next grow i suggest you get a larger hood like a raptor google it check craigs list . it will spread the light out better . the yield is a bit small for 45 days but your next grow pm me ill help you get a bigger yield quick tips along the process . again is not looking bad . yield could be bigger but nobody is an expert there first grow . keep us posed good job
Thank you for your feedback! I thought the same thing.. like they should be much bigger at this point. Im using an hps light in a 4×4×8 tent with only 4 plants and i feel like i need another light! It is hard to get direct light on all the buds at once.. i also accidentally planted them into 7g buckets instead of 5g so that doesnt help with the proximity. I also should have started lst much earlier than i did. I have one tall one but the other 3 are short and stubby lol
no worries . your next grow just ask will give you pointers . and buy a bigger light reflector . how many watts are you giving them ?
you only need 5 gallon containers . no need for 7 there is no advantage . except watering a bit less. with your room limitations
Im using a 1000 watt hps mh light. Using general hydroponics nutrients and following the simplest chart. Im now on day 52 since i switch the light schedule. Do people count the day they make the switch or when they actually start budding as the first day? Im thinking they prob have another few weeks to go. Any tips bout flushing or anything like that
Because i totally failed when i repotted them from 1 gallon buckets! Lol i didnt put them in deep enough. Ill know better for next time!
Update. They are at 12 weeks. They are in the first of three days of darkness. I will then dry them for 10 days and cure in jars 2 to 3 weeks. Any advice is welcome.
Very nice, wish my first grow turned out so well. I think maybe the three plants with curly darker looking foliage might have gotten a little bit too much N in flower. Where the tips burned ? The one on the top left seems to have absolutely loved life all round though. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I was wondering about the leaves.. they are very dark purple-ish in color.. most of the tips are much lighter.. i will keep the N in mind next time around. Thank you!
Update. Just started harvesting my plants. I cut the branches off and hung them on coat hangers in a closet. I have an oscillating fan (not blowing directly on them) and a dehumidifier. I plan on manicuring when they are dry.. i know some people do it before. I feel like the buds should be much bigger.
Hi, I'm wondering why such big pots? I use 3 gallon ice cream buckets. When I've used larger pots I've had watering issues. With 3 gallon pots I can pick them up and feel their weight to see if they need water and give them a 90 degree spin every day so all sides get to face forward. With those large pots I couldn't do that. Just asking because I know some like using the large pots I just can figure out why.
Great effort for your first grow! Fun wasn't it?!?!?! Plants could have definitely produced more than it did....but it just comes with experience and knowledge. JOB WELL DONE THOUGH! Take what you learned from this grow and apply it to round 2...you're yield will increase with each crop I bet. I noticed a couple people say your pots are too big... I PERSONALLY disagree.
same here. I'd go as big of a pot as your grow area can handle. I've now grown plants in sizes from 1 gal to 15 gal pots. I am now of the opinion that 10-gal pots are the MINimum I'd want to grow in. and larger if i can spare the room. And I grow auto's. I'd go even larger if I was growing photo's
I thought they were 5 gallon when i repotted them. They are actually 7 though. They def got heavy and were not easy to move around. Next time i am gonna use 5 gallon i think.
Thank you! I already know lots of things i will do differently next time. It has been so much fun learning about these plants as i watch them grow. I knew absolutely nothing about growing when i got my clones. So its been a lot of trial and error, and googling stuff lol. Cant wait to improve!
