First Grow Compost/soil Question

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by drosesquardo, Aug 4, 2014.

  1. My first grow im going to start within this week will be an auto flowering "Sweet Tooth" strain. It is a hybrid strain. I know everyone loves Fox Farm and if i could spend $40 on the shipping i would get it. However my local nursury has their own locally made organic compost that I think would be a good alternative but i need your help deciding which one and how much to mix with what. Never used compost or anyting like that before. Here are the links to the soils... Thanks!

    Chicken Compost

    Cow Compost

  2. Also I live in Georgia so we still have about 3 more months of at least 80 degree weather so I know I will be fine growing Autos within that time period.

  3. I would suggest the chicken manure/compost. Chicken manure is one of my favorite nutrients because it is used around the world for its nitrogen as well as its phosphorus for flowering. If you mixed this chicken manure with a few other amendments such as perlite/vermiculite and some worm castings and maybe a handful of epsom salts and you won't even need to feed your plants extra nutrients because they will already be available to her in the soil!! :bongin:  :bongin:

  4. Thanks for the help PolarBearGrower! Do you think its too much nutrients to start the plant in from a seedling?
