Thanks man, seems to be getting better as I go, I'm learning alot, the journals on this forum are a great resource It really depends on your setup and the plant, what lights/strain you workin with? Also how big is it? The plant will grow alot during flower, sometimes 2-3x its size when you start and depending on the plant you dont want it to outgrow your light or you will get light fluffy bud and low yield. Will do!
Its a 400 watt metal halogen light with the rumple bubble bucket setup. Plant is about 3ft tall now and bushed out nicely i would say, maybe 22 inch diameter or so. (my camera on the phone is busted and my digital is with my friend on his cruise lol or else i would take a pic). I can start to see the pistals already. As for the strain im not sure. It was a clone and i know it's really good bud lol. I'm gonna text him and see if he knows or not. I appreciate you taken time to answer dude, again any info will help.
So IMO based on size/light you should probably start flowering now, but you say you see pistils already? The plant shouldn't show sex until you have started 12/12 unless it is autoflower, which since you said it came from a clone is unlikely. Often clones have pistils when you get them b/c they were cut from a flowering plant they just don't swell into flowers if you put it under veg light cycle they kinda sit there and shrivel, did the pistils form recently? Hopefully I have said something useful .
Thanks hype! probably why she drinks 2+ gallons of water a day, I am afraid I am going to have to add water twice a day further into flower also I forgot to mention the perplex started showing pistils yesterday
Ok i figured i should of by now so last week i started it 12/12 i was just making sure. That's why the pistils showed up must be, i heard it took more like 3-4 weeks for them to form but i guess he was high lol. So i should be set thanks for the help, definitely helped! And them new pics look awesome. Root base is killer!
Oh ok that makes sense , the time to formation really depends on the strain, and the health/maturity of the plant, it seems to me that a healthy mature plant of most strains will show within a few days but there are certainly slow strains that take much longer under the best conditions and an immature/unhealthy plant usually takes much longer as well. No problem man anytime, that is what these forums are for . Thanks, the roots have been doing ridiculous, they just love DWC and seem to have really gone crazy since I started using voodoo juice, before they were similar in size but nowhere near as dense, they have turned into one thick mass since I started using it.
So last night when I opened the tent I was hit in the face by this crazy smell the oreo has started to absolutely stink and not like anything I have ever smelled before, it is noxious. I hope it just has a unique smell and it isn't something bad, also hope the taste is better than the smell
Oh yeah there startin to bud nice dude! Need your help with something else if you don't mind. I think i just killed my new babies... I started 2 clones last week in the rumple bucket. They where doing good roots started to come threw and get some bulk to them. I started to use the General Organics nutes on them yesterday evening @ about 4pm. Today at 8pm i come home to white nasty looking foam bubbling up threw the top clay pebbles. Open up the lid and the roots are covered in a quarter inch green slime!!!!!!! What is this, did i just kill them? They look ok still, but i can't imagine them suppose to be looking like this. Please HELP!!!!! I will try to get pictures tomorrow.
So the green slime I would expect is just algae, try and get rid of any light leaks, the foam could be just soap bubbles from surfactants in the nutes. Either way you should empty the res and double check for light leaks then refill with a reduced nute dose imo. If you absolutely cannot get rid of the green you might try adding a bit of peroxide to the res to keep it out , but it is better if you can avoid it. Any advice from more experienced people stopping by is welcome.
