My first grow journal. Not sure if I'm doin this right so ill post what I'm doin and go step by step. Any help greatly appreciated. So I got some seeds from a buddy. Blue berry kush. Put em in 1x1 cubes with ph water super thrive and a lol bit if clone food. Put em by my window to sprout. Once sprouted I waited until end of week 1 to move to tent. I have a 4x2 gorilla tent. Ac in. Carbon filter out with a 600w mh/hps bulb. Week 3 is starting today. I've moved to a soil pot and giving water 1 a day with super thrive. Not sure when I should start feeding it. Ill post more pics tonight of set up. Please lmk if I'm doing anything wrong.
Whats up man . do you have any updated pics of week 3? you def don't wanna be watering her everyday , what type of soil are you using? you don't wanna feed until after she has 3 or 4 leaf sets (roughly 3 or 4 weeks) and also depending on what soil you are using . what size pot are you using? you left a lot on info out buddy
I'm using happy frog soil at the moment in a 6 inch pot. Here's how it looks now. I have been having heat issues and just got it resolved yesterday so he may have been stressed.
what are your temps at? and is that her after 3 weeks? what's your light schedule at? IMO for 21 days... she's behind . We jus need a little more info here . Did you germ from seed or paper towel? Everyone has to start somewhere . Check out my grow in my sig.. not much to show , but that's her after 12 days .
So my tempt have been varying because I kept trapping heat. I started at 82 and went up to 89 degrees. Sometimes my ac would stay off cool mode and I went as hot as 92 degrees (again messing with tent here and there) I finally got it now to 72 deg cool/ 40 humidity. I started this out of a seed with a 1x1 cube next to a window. Dipped in seed food and ph water
Subbed! Try and keep the ducting as straight as possible, to get the most out of your fans. I highly recommend hooking up the hood to your fan. Leave one side open so it sucks out the air of the hood and tent, you probably won't even need to run your AC then
So just have duct fan pulling from light? With no ac I got to 98 degrees. Was pretty warm. Now I'm good. Letting the soil dry up a little and ill water again tomorrow or the day after. I'm seeing more center leaves grow and thickness on the main stem
All of the heat is coming from that 600w. If you can attach your fan and ducting up to one side of your hood, heat will drop by a lot. I doubt you'll need an AC running after you hook it up, if you do then it would be on a low setting. How many CFMs is your fan rated for?
I have no idea what cfnvmy fan rating is. Sorry. I got a 20$ duct fan in amazon. My issue is air circulation. I initially had both cold in and out on the hood. Heat accumulated at the bottom to 98. Then I put ac to light and duct out on the bottom to suck out hot air. Fail. So I put cold down and hit out by the light and in at 78/40humid. Can't complain
What do you mean when you say "Then I put ac to light" and " I initially had both cold in and out on the hood"
So I'm not sure i should be watering or not. This is day 16. I have ran my fingers through the soil so you can see how it's dry on too but the soil is moist. Should I water now? How much should I be watering?
if you feel it's moist then you're probably ok . I water every 3-4 days . I wait till it's completely dried out before my next watering , the roots love it , it makes them work to look for water . You need to learn the weight of your pot when it's dry and after you've watered it , that's how I tell . I use smart pots (fabric) so it's a lot easier to judge , most people wont give you a direct answer on when to water , because it's usually personal preference .
Makes sense. I'm going to try doing it by the eyes and learning from the plants signs (discoloration, fragile, etc..) that way later I know what's wrong with him. Ill give it another day. I'd like to work on a superset champ we to put seedlings in or clones if I decide to clone. I've been to cfl or led us all I need and a fan. Is this true? Which Rubbermaid bin is the personal preference of choice
