  1. hey guys im attempting to grow some bagseeds i found a while ago without any experience so any help would be apreciated.
the seeds are kind of dark and they are hard so i think they are good.
im just using regular soil from outside inside plastic cups. i put the seeds in the cup about half inch then covered them and waterd them. i did this yesterday and sence then they have not seen much light. i have been keeping them moist, everytime i see the soil drying i add a bit of water.
I havnt seen any progress at all so just looking for help or tips not lookin for any quality for my first time trying just trying.
i have a light to but not sure if i should put the seed under it or not and if so for how long
    thanks   :smoking:    :hippie:

  2. Dont wet the soil too much I would stop watering.
You should have germinated in the paper towels and then once the taproot is showing you can transpalnt. But Im sure it could still work and I hope it does for you. Make sure there is drainage holes in the cup.
Keep it in the sunlight all day but use plastic to cover for greenhouse effect until it breaks the soil.

    Good luck

  3. I'd keep them off of cold surfaces too, and find a way to keep moisture in. Cut the bottom off of a clear 2l bottle and slip it over the cup. Terrarium style. Oh, keep the cap on. The goal it to create a nice warm moist environment. Like above said- not to moist.

  4. Cover them with plastic baggies and dont water them. No need for light until the break the soil.

  5. Thanks! Just got them covered. Hope its not too late. Its my 3rd morning without progress but I read it takes anywhere from 2-7days. And I also read thar if they don't work if u crack the seeds there's a small chance it will like jump start germination.:huh:

  6. Bad picture of my soil. Don't think I'm getting enough drainage but not really sure how I could fix that at this point

  7. You need to get some drainage. Just take a thumb tack or needle and carefully poke some holes in the bottom.
You'll only need about 10 or so since you won't be watering much.
Just keep your plastic over the top and the humidity will keep it moist.

  8. Make sure you get that greenhouse effect going!

  9. To get that green house effect wouldn't they need to be covered then put in sun?

  10. I don't think putting them in the sun hurts, just for the warmth factor. True the plants won't use sunlight directly until the break the soil, but the warmth helps trigger the hormones that tell the seed to sprout. Only tried once, and a plastic topped foam cup in the window had them up in four days.

  11. Please tell me that's the seed sprouting. I don't wanna touch it just invade it breaks.

  13. So they have all sprites after 4days. I took the plastic off the top so it would be able to get air and sun and whatnot. Should I start using this liquid plant food? It says 7drops for 1leter but should I water it down more or not use it at all?

For the first 2-3 weeks they will not need any nutes. All the food they need to get going is in the 2 small round start leaves and single bladed leaves that's also why those leaves will naturaly die off later on. If you give seedlings nutes to early you can either nute burn them to death or stunt them so bad they may never fully recover from it. To help with drainage your pots should have some holes in the bottom if in a plastic party cup there should be about 5-6 holes about the size of a pencil tip also if you don't have any perlite to mix in the dirt you can use fine fine gravel or small rocks on the bottom of the cup. By the way the nutes you have are pretty strong and kind of off on the proper NPK numbers for pot plants.

  15. Thanks. I may have fucked up one of my plants then. Igave it that but I havbt noticed any changes with the last like 2 hours..is there anything I could by at like a wallmart or somewhere..I live in a small town with just mainly bigger company's like that

  16. Get some organic seedling starter soil, then for a main soil if you have a Lowes or Home Depot they have Kellog`s Patio Plus organic potting soil that I just planted some freshly rooted clones in to try out. Its got some good shit in it and doesn't look to bad and its even OMRI listed which is good. I haven't looked to see what Wal Mart, Lowes or Home Depot has for perlite in small bags but you don't want any with nutes added to it. I buy it in the big bags at Home Depot and still working on the same bag I bought last summer. Also Home Depot carrys organic dolomite limestone which will add calcium and magnesium for the plants which most base nutes for growing pot plants ten to lack. A couple of summers ago we tried out Alaska Fish Emulsions from Home Depot and Lowes along with the dolomite limestone in the dirt/compost mix and some molasses and had good results but if you have problems with critters outdoors like raccoons I wouldn't use it. It can attract animals and lots of flys. The veg formula stinks really bad. or you can go one better and order some nutes online made more for growing pot plants.

  17. So this is 6days in. They are all looking healthy but the one I used those certs on doesn't look as healthy.

  19. So, indoor or outdoor?  If it's indoor, you'll want at a couple 6000 kelvin 23 watt compact fluorescent bulbs a couple inches away from the tops of your plants to meet minimum light requirements.  Also beware that your plants will probably start to stink by the time they are 2-3 weeks old.

  20. Its indoor at the moment but I plan on moving outside so my house doesn't smell like dope :p
