This is my first grow, first time hands-on cultivation experience. I decided to hold off on purchasing seeds from a bank and go with a few of the random collection of seeds my friend and medical supplier saved up over the past year or so. He said the seeds he had collected were a mix of blue dream, pineapple kush, lemon g, sensi star, hindu kush, white widow, and blue cheese. so i have an interesting surprise collection of plants going on. haha but i germinated 15, 9 took and six are still standing, appear to be generally healthy. They range between 2-4 weeks. :)

    Setup Specifications:

400w HPS Bulb, on an 18/6. Temps are steady 78F day, 62F night. PH at 7.3, humidity not measured yet. growing in a closet space 4.5ft high and 2 ft. wide. I have a fan on a lower shelf circulating air in/out throughout. Watering every other day or every three day. Started with 1/8 tsp/ gal strength Dyna-Grow two days ago that i picked up at my local hydroponics store. i dont think i should be ferting them yet.. but i read in a few places that ferting is ok once you reach alternating nodes? Also im constrained on time, so i think i might start flowering them next week. Yield is not super-important as this grow is to get the hang of things before i start scrogging, sogging, lst-ing, etc. Any recommendations? It seems like a few are showing signs of preflowering, but is it too early to show sex signs? Could it just be new growth?

Thanks for the upcoming help everyone, much appreciated. I can see how growing can be addicting, nurturing these plants as if they are my children! :hello:

    Really an amazing thing.

  4. one thing i was wondering in particular though, on one plant the bottom two fan leaves are twisting slightly... what causes this and how can i correct it? i was told it was a magnesium deficiency but i am not certain and don't want to start pumping unnecessary nutes into her.

  5. How far away is that light?
