Hey guys first post here but been reading for months now. There's so much info on here iy really helps. So I just got my clones last night. 4 Maui clones from a care giver friend of mine. I live in Michigan an can legally grow my own medicine. Here's my set up 400 watt mh/hps I mixed my own organic soil mix from the easy beginner mix on this forum. I found a very good local worm farm close by that gives great deals on local pick ups. Any southwest mi growers I can give you her contact info.I built my own cabinet 30" deep 4 ft wide by 7 ft tall. 6" hydrofarm inline fan with speed control. My Phat carbon filter is on the way right now. I ordered a 6"x 24" as I need the smell under control. Currently running them on an 18/6 cycle with the light dimmed to 250 watts. I plan on turning it all the way up to 400 in a few days. Temp is holding steady at 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity is low though at 30%Im looking forward to learning from everyone here. So what can I do next.
Good luck man! I'm also in MI and I just harvested my first crop of 4 ladies this last week. Looks like you have a nice start, welcome to the fun but maddening hobby of gardening!
Thank you. It's been maddening from the time I started been piecing everything together little by little. I also have a smaller cabinet I built thats 2"x2"x6" that's for some veg but I picked these up for free so Im just going to see what happens. You should pop over to the michigan growers thread. Great place to shoot the shit about MI and also there are some serious growers with a wealth of knowledge. http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-medical-marijuana-growing/1258325-michigan-growers-unite.html/page-43#entry19401894

Here is just as good. The other thread is more of a friendly chatty type discussion but we always throw around questions and stuff. But for problems and such you can't beat the broader audience the main forum gives.
Subbed. welcome ti the city bro.http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1269823-This-old-Hippies-Organic-Garden.This old Hippies Organic Garden.
Thanks. I just woke up an am checking on the plants. They are dropping some an the leaves are curling down an canoeing. Temp is at 76 rh is at 24% My light is about 20 inches away. Any thoughts? These clones were cut from a plant that was just into flower they had some yellowing on the leaves but roots were very strong coming out of starter cubes. I put them into solo cups with some sunshine mix #4. An them watered them. What can I do or is this normal?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Don't give any more water.a picture would help a lot.Good mornin to ya.http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1269823-This-old-Hippies-Organic-Garden.This old Hippies Organic Garden.
Ill post a pic. I was thinking over watering too but I barely used any on that dry mix. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
that's not so bad. I would wait for them to adjust to the tp. if anything raise the light for a day or two.http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1269823-This-old-Hippies-Organic-Garden.This old Hippies Organic Garden.
Ok thanks. I raised it earlier about 3". You think thats enough?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
that's not much 3inches I would double what it was that is 4 times less light. just till they perk back uphttp://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1269823-This-old-Hippies-Organic-Garden.This old Hippies Organic Garden.
Ok thanks. I moved it up some more. Its quite a ways away now temp dropped to 74. I have a wired probe that is at the plant level. Temp is slightly higher at top of cabinet. The plants are drooping more and more. Hopefully in a couple days they will recover. Damn day 2 and already trouble. LolSent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Keep in the back of your mind that even if the top of the canopy is warm, if the root zone is cool they should tolerate it fairly well. When the root zone even gets warm due to lights is when it can really do damage long term. Let em dry out and bounce back, nothing I'd panic over yet. Looking good.
Thanks. Yeah its been a few hrs since I moved the light up the first time now that I moved it up more they seem better. I have my ballast at 250 watts but they were under a florescent light to root and not a t5 set up. So I guess I just blasted them with light and over watered. I read so many posts about over watering. I barely used any water but such a small cup I guess was too much. Thanks again guys. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I did the exact same thing early on. Once you get a feel for how much water they actually need and than develope a good routine the plants will thank you, they love good regimented water/feed routines and creates stable consistent growth.
Yeah I underestimated the water issue. I have lots of house plants and just dump water in them and go. I did put my wifes Geber Daisy in a new pot with the easy organic mix off of here and man it's easily doubled in size in just about 3 weeks.
