First ever grow, need some advice

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by UzeHaze, Oct 9, 2011.

  1. Hello everybody,
After smoking for several years, SWIM finally got tired of the pricing and rip-offs, so he decided to grow some on his own. The first 10 seeds where from a bag (supposedly El Diablo, but he doesn't trust the guy), so his expectations were quite low. After a day or two, one of 'em sprouted. He let the rest sit for another week or so, before he got tired and put them in a houseplant's pot, just in case.
It grew very fast, compared to some of his friend's, and he decided to order some more online, including Northern Lights and White Rhino(feminised). He planted 2 NL and 1 WR. Only a couple days later he noticed a seedling coming out of the previously mentioned pot, so he transplanted immediately.
Like the other one, it grew astonishingly fast, and had outgrown the NL and WR by the end of the month.
He did some topping on the first, LST on the second ED. He also topped the NL about three week later, along wit some pruning on the EDs a week ago so the lower branches would get more light.

What do you think? Did he make the right decision by removing some of the fan leaves? When would be a good time to move them into flowering? How much do you think would he yield if flowering was induced in the next 1/2/3/4 weeks?

He uses Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow Ph Perfect, so it's always 5-ish. Also B-52, Vodoo Juice, Piranha, Tarantula, and a root-stimulator for seedlings and aventually cuttings. The temperature is always between 24 and 26 C, humidity 45-65% (usually 55). He has them in soil on two 24-hour fluorescent 18 watt tubes.
He noticed some small nute burns but corrected this by feeding them water only for a little less than a week.

    He'd really appreciate some feedback.
And because he knows you love it, here are some more pics:

And last, but not least a seed I got from a friend's outdoor Dutch Haze

As mentioned, he's a complete beginner and would really like some advice/feedback on what he's doing right, and of course what could be improved.
    Peace out.
