First ever grow. Looking for advice and input

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Cornpudding, Aug 6, 2021.

  1. This my first ever grow and attempt. Growing northern lights autos. No training because I didn’t wanna risk messing them up but will train next grow. Just want input on how they’re looking and if y’all notice anything wrong. They’re exactly 54 days old since placed in soil

  2. Looks beautiful bro keep it up

  3. Get some stakes and tie them up so a gust of wind doesn't blow them over and snap the stems.
You should be spraying BT Thuricide for caterpillar control.

  6. These look impressive for the pot size, you're using fabric pots?

  7. Yeah 3gal fabric pots

  8. I wish mine where looking half as nice
it is my frst grow too and I think we have sth in common beginners growing autos outdoor
to compare my current grow with one that follows the advice of the pros I started a little journal (see my signature)
you are very welcome to join the yournal and feel free to post about your eperiences and ongoing grow

  9. I tried felt pots for the first time this year and the ones in them are about 30% bigger and vegging longer, than in plastic.

  10. I went with the fabric pots to allow more oxygen to the roots and since they’re outside they drain better in case I can’t tend to them if it rains

  11. I did my first ongoing grow in terracotta as I had the 3gal pots here
already ordered fabric pods for the actual journal grow as 99% of all growers might recommend

3,30€ for a 4gal fabric pot is not really to mention, but as I like he kiss style I wish I had found 250-300gr DeWitt Weed-Barrier 12year
that would have been 20$ for 25 pots and sew them by myself, it is so damn easy to sew any pot with a square base but the thickest fabric I could find here in germany when it comes to weed barriers is 150gr wich is to thin.

  12. Looks like they didnt get nearly enough light in the early days (which is why they are so tall and have no branches) but other than that look fine. Definitely add some support to them they look like they would snap if a breeze hit them the wrong way, especially when the flowers start to fatten up.

  13. I generally agree, the less light the more they stretch towards as maria is apical
mine (Outdoor Automatic late 2021 - Discussion & Help appreciated) I tried to train from about week 2-3, but I might not have done well although I tried my best
that training-stress plus for sure many other failures on 1st grow stresed them small, but most important was for sure the weather and poor light/sunshine as well

last 2-3 days was sth. like 3-4hrs of direct sunlight on them that they streteched enourmous compared to the 6 weeks before
so the right amount of light at the right time is definately crucial in firts place IMHO
