Hey guys, Its mid autumn here, and at the start of autumn a plant came up from a seed I planted in my garden. It was stretching due to lack of intense light so I transplanted it into a pot and placed inside a cupboard which has foil glued on the inside walls and put in a 350w LED about 4-5 inches above it on an 18h on 6h off cycle. For 3 weeks after the transplant it looked like a goner - the bottom 2 sets of leaves died away with just a small bunch of leaves on top. Over the last week the top has exploded, and new leaves are growing where the old leaves died and fell off. In the photos you can see some of the tip leaves died I think because I over fed nutrients - i flushed and let dry out almost completely which is when the growth exploded. The Bush on top is really dense, is that normal or should it have less leaves? Does it look worthwhile to keep growing or should I scrap it and start some new seeds?
if you pinch the top out of the plant it will help the side shoots to grow and get a bit more bud for you ,,,it looks like its got over the transplant now new growth looks nice and healthy to me ,,,luck ,,,,,,,,,,,mac, PS when you pot up in to bigger pot add 25% perlite to your potting mix it will help with your drainage and help the roots from getting any roots problems ,,,mac,,
So I topped it, and moved the light up a bit. It seems as though the nodes are growing way too close together. Like 1cm apart. Is that bad?
I wouldn't cut it. I normally break my main shoots and then support them so they heal. If u break the main and not cut it off it will still be a flowering shoot. I scrog so I break a shoot at the scrog and lay it gently on top of net to heal. The plant shortly makes more stalks to counter the broken one but still will heal the broken shoot. U know what I'm saying. Attached is a pic of my scrog. U can see each plant has multiple stalks and has a V shape which is ideal for a scrog and to increase your yield Sent from my MotoE2(4G-LTE) using Grasscity Forum mobile app
not a male a full blown Hermie ( both male and female flowers)...you would have done better buying a couple of femmed seeds ..like the above ^^^ just said ,,,mac.
