so tomorrows my first day working at a pizza place. i'm gonna be delivering and cooking/working the cashier. I'm really nervous as this is my first job. anyone have experience at a pizza place and have any reassurance how easy it is or any tips? thank you
Im your guy. I've been at papa johns, pizzicato, round table pizza, and currently working at a papas...I think you will do fine. The reason I have worked at so many places is because I didn't end up liking those places for whatever reason-but just make the best of your first job. If you make the best of it, it'll actually be quite enjoyable once you start saving. As far as tips, they are always hit and miss. Luckily I drive a company car so they dont bone me for gas...if it's a place like pizzicato, tips are alot higher than lets say pizzicato. Bring lots of sides!!! parmesian&pepper/napkins...it'll get you better tips. friday and saturday nights are the best nights for deliveries as far as the tipping goes. Make the best of it, I am just now realizing that after cutting back on the ganj. yeahhhhhh lol
1st job and your 18? Dang, thats a little old. Never worked at a Pizza place before, but I have definitely worked my fair share of jobs, all I can recommend is don't fuck up and do what your boss tells you. Also, hope for a good boss, because this will ultimately determine how much fun your job will be. Also, I don't suggest smoking too much your first day. One hit might be cool, though, I do that a lot. A full bowl or a big bong rip could be a bad idea. Best of luck, blade. Peace
Man I've been working at this pizza place for a while. Its not hard at all. My work is a full sit down restaurant but most pizza places aren't like that. Making pizza is really easy, i work in the FOH (front of house) but i learned how to make pizza's without anyone teaching me. Its fun just wait a couple weeks before going in stoned
Yeah, pizza places are very fast pace, and one fuck up will throw alot of people off. Delievery is awsome for tips, but you end up putting sooo many miles onto your car. Overall pizza jobs arent bad at all, im able to eat pizzas for free, but i never get any breaks or lunch.
________________________________________ I worked for a pizza place once and we would use the walk-in refrigerator to toke up in. The air is nice and cold and it gets filtered really good. If this is your first job, be nice and try to stay busy. Don't be too open about yourself for a few weeks, until you know everyone. If you're lucky, you will be able to take home free food which is always nice. Pizza for me never got old even after a couple of years working there. Experiment with your own pizzas, it's fun.
