I'm starting a new job today in the grow warehouse of a mmj dispensary, and I'm pretty excited. This will be my fist job in the mmj industry. I graduated in May with a degree in horticulture, moved to Colorado, and started looking for a job in the industry. It took a couple of months to finally land a job, but I figured it would probably take awhile because this industry is so popular here and every interview I went to there were about a dozen other people interviewing for the same position. I'm going to be doing clones I think, but there will probably be other stuff I'll have to do. The company I'm going to work for manages several grow warehouses for different dispensaries, so I could possibly be working all over town at different grows. Does anyone else have any stories of their first day at a new job, or will be starting a new one soon?
Dude! That sounds like an awesome job!! Stoked for ya! And Colorado is amazing. Definitely one of my favorite places. Congrats on the job.
It was an awesome first day working at a dispensary grow. I did indeed do cloning most of the day. I'm am responsible for making all the clones that they sell to patients and maintaining the mother plants. I also just do what they need me to do in the vegetative room including repotting, topping, and disease control. One of the cool things about the mmj industry is that everybody is around the same age range of 20-30, so they are all pretty chill and laid back. I think my favorite part of working there has to be the smell. You can smell it from the parking lot and when you enter the grow rooms it is overwhelming at first but nice after awhile. When I went to lunch I smelt so much like weed, I could tell the smell had completely saturated my clothes.

This will be my second year. Was it all worth it to be able to have a job growing?
Reading this excites me. I start my classes next Monday, and I'll be majoring in Horticulture. I was obviously influenced by the mmj industry, but I have a huge interest in all plants. I'd love to land a mmj job after I get my degree though.
This thread is old as fuck. But I'm going to bump it because I would really enjoy if Berry could tell us more about job.
i wish I could get a job with weed. I need to figure out what to do with my life I always thought it would be sick to run grow houses and just sell weed.....
