  1. A general rule with grow boxes is that you want the intake to be 2x as big as the exhaust so you get plenty of fresh air and you're not restricting the exhaust fan. There will still be plenty of negative pressure.

It's easy to test if you have a well sealed cabinet. If the door sucks closed strongly then you have too much negative pressure. The door should get sucked closed but not too strongly. Also listen to the exhaust fan when you close the door. If the exhaust fan speeds up or gets louder, then it's being restricted by a small intake and is working harder and louder then necessary.

I've built about 20 different cabinets and grow boxes for myself and friends over the years. A passive intake twice the size of the exhaust has always worked well for me. The key is having a strong enough exhaust fan that's un-resticted by the intakes and the filter.

  3. Ya i could see how that would help the temp in a hot climate.

  4. This was the first training session i still havent made some more intake holes...so im thinking this damage is from being a little dry and a little hot. I could be wrong though. I did add epsom salt at some point, it seemed to benefit and make them look healthier.

  5. Damn they grew a lot overnight! The lower branches are coming in nice. I might actually get something some what decent out of this grow. I got the ph tester and found out i have like extreme alkaline water. Ive watered once with lemon juice added to balace the ph.

I think some of the damaged growth might also be due to nutrient lockout from the water or some kind of hindrance from the high ph of the water. So hopefully theyll perk up a little more.

I love the way they're dwarfin its two different bagseed and they both have fairly close node separation.

  6. Check out my grow for some ideas if you'd like to! I have a cabinet that I took the drawers and made a false wall with them. Using 16 x 23w CFL's.

And I had pH issues too lol.

    Your setup looks good!

  12. They re really growing now, they demand a whole lot more water and nutes you can see the newest growth is pale. I believe thats when you lightly feed it and wait till it starts getting pale again so you can kind of feel it out.

You can also see one is flowering much faster than the other. I think i have an more indica and a more sativa on the right.

Im still not sure if im gonna be able to finish them inside my cabinet or not but im gonna try 20170723_125348.jpg 20170723_125337.jpg 20170723_115610.jpg 20170723_115557.jpg 20170723_115547.jpg 20170723_115542.jpg 20170723_115536.jpg

  14. dude you should change your name to Microgrostud. Didn't think you could get a grow that small but you are getting it to work. Nice job!

  15. Lol thanks guys. I think i have like 3 more weeks to go im not totally sure though. Could some one more experienced give me a rough estimate?

  16. Is out my money on 4-5 weeks until trichomes are gonna be where you want them. That's just my opinion/guess though

  18. One of my builds have the same size holes for intake and exhaust 4" exhaust i use a vortex and intake i pump air in with a dryer booster and long ducting (wanted the heat not to go right back in )this oddly is work well too well in fact if i open the doors the temps go up close them and they drop .i do have a second exhaust for just in case 6 inch vortex with inside giant filter...
on the outside the cabinet you have idea what it is only back side gives it away the fan noise went when i added the outside filter to the 4 inch intake still can hear on hi but i am able to dial in my temps 75 with doors closed 81 with them open intake ducting pulls cold air from the floor filter was added to keep bugs out. when fall hits i will need to dehumidifier to the setup and winter i add a hps to heat the house .....

  19. Awesome job! Where did you get that container? And do you remember the brand of led bulbs?

I am using a similar size space. Really impressed with your progress. Also gives me hope that I have enough space for 2 plants.
