Hey guys, what's up! I work for a dispensary as a gardener and finally decided to start my own personal home grow. My materials are very limited and basic, but it seems to be working. At work, I have to grow based on how my boss wants to grow. Having been on this forum lurking for years and officially for a few months, I have began seeing that his ways are either extremely out-dated or plain wrong, so I decided to grow my own and see how it turns out. This thread is just me wanting to share to someone who gives a fuck about my first try mainlining. If there is enough interest, I will continue updating to give other beginners some courage to try. If not, at least I was able to show someone and share my excitement. Setup: All plants I am currently growing are TGA Subcool Jacked-Up x Killer Grape 90w Blurple UFO (X4) 11w 5000k LED 26w 2700k CFL (X2) 11w 5000k LED for supplemental side lighting 18/6 Fan on medium to circulate air and breeze the plants about 5 ft away. Soil is random ass mix of: Earthgro Organic Miracle-Gro Organic Perlite Vermiculite ProMix BX My biggest plant is 3 weeks old as of yesterday. The other two will be 3 weeks old as of Thursday. Big plant is in 3 gallon pot, other two in 1 gallon pots. Had an issue overwatering the two younger plants which slightly stunted growth for a little. There was also what I believe to be septoria hence why lower fan leaves are not in the picture anymore. I decided spur of the moment to try nugbucket's mainlining technique. Septoria was on 3rd node of older plant so I decided to do 2nd node instead. Topped and LST'd down. My after picture was taken about two hours afterwards... Leaves already pointing towards their artificial sun! As I stated before, I just wanted to share my excitement, hence why this is not in a journal thread. If interest is shown, I'll continue updating the mainlining progress. Other than that, this is NOT my journal. Sorry for the poor quality pictures in advance. Also, yes, there are four plants in pictures... I removed one from the grow asnit was too far gone from a variety of factors such as overwatering and too much feeding. Last two pics are of the other two healthy plants. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
not bad so far that doesnt look like sep it usually goes unterneath leaf aswell. but if it is id look into first as it can be real bad for you plant How To Deal With Leaf Septoria (Yellow Leaf Spot) On Cannabis Plants - RQS Blog this website will give way more info on leaf sep. i now how you feel with your bosses ways reminds me of my brother. and i tell you there is a reason to why he still has plants that are not even half the size of mine that have been growing for twice aslong as mine with no buds on them lol. change is a big part so i hope you can show ur boss up lol. good luck. happy growings.
I was honestly on the fence about it being septoria, but the same markings started showing up on other plants, so I just decided to sterilize the problem after reading for a few days, lol. As for my boss, he has already been pretty mind blown... About a week after transplant into 3 gal, my roots were already spilling out of the drain holes lol. I'm also about to start a DWC once these go into flower to show him that it's safe and also faster. Just want to help the company become more efficient, haha. Thanks for the comment! I definitely want to try scrogging... Probably going to do so with my DWC. Have been researching it for a couple of months now. I haven't heard of knuckling though... What's that? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
it where you bend the stem over without braking it. weeve it through the scrog and let the more stems grow off to get more product. also a knuckle like ball will form and its a spot to store nuits which will also help those stems grow better.
seems like death but it works. id try it on small scale to start its a lot harder to do than it seems. id also look it up on youtube youll get way better info on what it is aswell.
Oh boy... Here goes delving into more research for the next two weeks! Im gonna check it out now... Thanks for the new knowledge! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
