  1. Its' first set of leaves has opened up and its starting to grow its second. Do you guys think it's ok to put it under a 250w hps light right now? This is probally its second day in world. thanks:wave:

  2. Nah son way too early for the HPS. Wait about 3 weeks or so (the min.) then its alright but be concious of how far away it is they put out alot of heat.

IMO id wait a month of veg. then switch to start sexing/flowering.

  3. you can use the HPS but make sure to keep it a safe distance from your sprout or it will fry it very easily. you'd be better off using a couple of CFLs for a week or two before using the HPS though.

  4. My 250w MH bulb is sitting about 12 inches from my 7 day old seedlings that are sitting in dixie cups. They seem to be doing just fine.

  5. My light is sitting about 7 inches above my 3 weekr's with 2 fans on them and they're not burning up. I can wait until it gets a little stronger, i suppose. would it be ok then to put it outside, the weather is about 70* with lots of sun. Or should i just leave it in my windowseal?

    Thanks for the replys.

  6. if your plants are ok under your light, I wouldn't bother with moving them around. just keep a close eye on them to make sure it isn't getting too hot for them and try to catch it as early as possible. if you do decide to move them for whatever reason, definately put them outside where they can get direct sunlight rather than through a window on a window sill.

  7. i have had best results recently by putting my seedlings in a propagator under a 100 watt cfl sprayed evry day, i tried putting a lowrider under my 250 hps and it collapsed within 4 days the the thing you need to remember is a seedling only has small roots and can only absord so much moisture if it sweats more than it takes it will collapse mh and sodium bulbs really heat up quick so much so that you that the room is very dry without adequate ventilation. wot is your ventilation set up ?
