  1. My firefox wont start up, tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it several times it lasts for about 3 minutes then closes and wont open again. I get the error saying that it cant locate the file js3250.dll. It always deletes itself. Does anybody know how to fix this, I hate Internet Explorer with a passion. it always just randomly closes and i get 800000 popups with it

  2. It sounds like you have a dodgy extension or something like that.

Delete the Firefox profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\<your-username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\<some random name>) and let it create a new one, see if that fixes it. YOu might want to make a backup first; all your settings and bookmarks and shit are in there.

You could even try just deleting the extensions folder first, which means you get to keep your settings, but will have to reinstall any extensions you use.

If it's not happening, uninstall Firefox, delete the profile, then reinstall Firefox. If you haven't upgraded to Firefox 2.0, do that now, it's a very good upgrade.

If this doesn't work, post again. I've had a few wranglings with Firefox, so I know a few tricks yet.

  3. agreed, delete it ALL, run some spyware/anti virus just to make sure, and try again. good luck!

  4. By any chance do you know where else the profile folder would be? I've been looking all over for it and cant find Application Data anywhere in the Documents And Settings folder.

EDIT - nevermind found the folder, tried both things both of you said. Problem still happened . If you ave any other ideas id appreciate the help cause im so clueless. I'm gonna run some antivirus/spyware shit and go to sleep and try whatever tommorow.

  5. It is there, you'll need to enable "show hidden files and folders" to see it.

Any Explorer window >> Tools >> Folder Options >> "View" Tab.

  6. Try this.

Control + Alt + Delete, then click Processes
Look for Firefox.dll or something like that
    Click it
    Click end process

If it doesn't load up after that, then do what they're saying. But try mine first, much easier, and might solve your problem.

  7. Ended up finally fixing it. :p Thanks guys.
