Prior to reading about all the stellar attributes of vaping, I was devoted to my glass water bong. Apparently, water pipes not only fail to reduce the harmful toxins but also provide less THC, as it attaches to the water molecules? After doing some research, I splurged on the Firefly. Overall, I love the simplicity of the design and the fact that it heats up so quickly. I'm still not satisfied with the results though. This is my first time using a vape, and I understand that it does take some skill to use it. Several online sources suggest holding down the button down for a few seconds, to heat up the chamber, before taking a hit. No one seems to agree on the amount of time, but I suppose it may vary. I've tried holding it down for 10 seconds, let up for 4, and then pressing it and taking a long hit. That seems to work best, so far. I have several concerns. After roughly 3 or 4 hits, the material already starts to taste like burnt popcorn (I don't fill the chamber to the top and pack it relatively loosely). Also, I'm not getting particularly high. I was under the impression that vaping gets you buggered. What am I doing wrong? I've been using a high quality Kosher Kush, so it's not the weed (in case, anyone wondered).
LOTS of FireFly user tips in this thread. Just need to scan though the 100+ pages that is the FireFly thread to find them: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-firefly-vaporizer.11365/
Thanks! I already picked up some useful tips just skimming through. It looks like I may not be packing it enough, for one.
Yup. FC has got to be the best vape resource anywhere. If you can't find out how to get the best from your vape there, I don't think you can find it anywhere. It just takes a bit of digging as the threads can get a bit long.
