Firecrackers: Do you need to use an oven or not?

Discussion in 'Cannabis & Weed Edibles: Cooking & Recipes' started by limericki, Jan 6, 2011.

  1. I've heard so many conflicting posts on whether or not you need heat when making edibles. I've read several threads that say when you make firecrackers you can just leave them overnight, and then a couple that said heat is definitely required and anything else is placebo.

So can someone give me a definitive answer?

    Thanks fellas.

  2. The answer is more in the middle, you CAN let them extract over time, but its DEFINITELY more than overnight. Some people say they left them out for 5-7 days. I personally made 2 perfectly made firecrackers, left them out for 10 days each, and NEITHER worked. So I'd say the sitting method probably takes more than 2 weeks, more likely like a month or so. These firecrackers would have 100% worked if they were cooked. So IMO, Mythbusted.

The only way to be SURE they work, is to use the oven.
