Firecracker weed to PB/fat ratio, does it matter?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by potfiend, Jan 27, 2019.

  1. For cooking purposes we prescribe coconut oil for it’s higher fat content.
I have friend who uses 1/2 gram on a double graham cracker for his sure thing edible. Sure thing meaning that recipe has never failed to get him wasted. Without digressing about other options or the inferiority of firecrackers, given the above statement about a higher ratio of fat being desirable, Would 1/2 gram split between three or four firecrackers allow for better bioavailability?

I frequently make small/low dose firecrackers on original sized Wheat Thins, about six to the gram.
I don’t get slammed on one, just a nice buzz that last about 2.5-3hrs. If I want to enhance it I smoke at about the 1hr plus mark after injestion, and I get all the buzz I need for a work night. Of course I can always eat more than one for enhanced effects.

So my question for discussion is:
Would less weed per firecracker allow for better bioavailability?

Just curious about the opinion and or experience of others, I have never seen this discussed before.

  2. We use Coconut oil for it's unique ability to bypass the stomach and go straight to the portal vein and to the liver in record time.
Most other cooking oils need bile from the gall bladder to start digestion and they all take substantially longer to kick in.
Bacon fat makes a great and tasty edible oil but takes a additional hour to reach full effects with me.

Lecithin we use in an effort to apply "Liposomal encapsulation" to our oil and I feel it definitly works to some extent both in more bang per gram and length of effects.

Decarb first (240 F for 40 minutes) Open air is best as testing shows once submerged in an oil the decarb can take several hours and is usually accompanied by substantial degradation of THC to CBN the sleeper compound.

As far as splitting the dose it makes no difference IME. All you need is just enough oil to wet the cannabis and any more is just thinning the product. Eat more for the same end stone. Since I use so much cannabis everyday I use the best of the best kief from my grow and the least amount of oil possible. I've played with all the variables backwards and forwards time and time again and any changes now get me substandard results so I've long stopped changing anything as far as decarb time and temp and my short oil cook times.
    YMMV
