Finding a hook up.

    So heres how it is.

    I've been dry for 2 damn years.
    Moved to a new state, know absolutely no one.
    Have had 2 failed connects that didn't follow through, and i'm dyin for some weed!

    Now I'm not gonna ask "O.O Anyone here hook me up?"
    Instead I wanna ask..

    In all my long previous years of smoking I new people who new people that could get me some stuff when I asked. Now I'm 4 states away and know no one here. Never really had to try and find my own connects so I'm a newbie in that area.
    Well I'm lookin for the grass and was wondering on some tips on where/how to ask for some green.

    I know this question has been covered often but most of the answers are "ask someone you know whos into that kinda thing" Problem is again. I don't know a single soul in this entire state! That WeBeHigh website wasn't much help as it refers to only dallas which is somewhat far from where I am and I don't feel like gettin mugged/arrested by rogue racist cops or the hoodies.

    Any info at all would be great. I've been dry for to damn long and i'm ready to be stoned yesterday!

    Try locating a headshop in your area and just ask around the people that hang there.

    go to any major events, concerts, bars, clubs, headshops and i'm sure you'll find someone to ask.

    Im kinda the same way, i been weed free for like 5 months and im dying for some bud. I asked my dad yesterday if he could hook me up when he brings me some cartons of cigs (which are 2 - 3x cheaper where he lives), but the way he sounded i doubt he will come though. I just text my uncle if he could get me some and he's really skiddish when you talk drugs to him (he's really parinoid). I dont really know many people where im at now and i dont know how to bring up weed to people to get a connection cuz i mean if you walk up to someone, start a convo and ask about weed they would look at u funny and be like wtf o_O

    Anyways, i have the same question, where do I go and how do i bring it up?

    Only way youll ever get a link is by talking to ppl. So go to the places stated in other posts and ask around. Mabye you ask a couple wrong ppl and they look at you weird, most likely youll never see those ppl in your life again. So Have a couple awkward times askin or keep goin budless. Your Choice

    I've asked around. That's how I got them last 2 fallouts. The two nearest headshops to me have a lot of business but they also have cops passin the place pretty often and would be fishy of me loitering around a headshop :p

    No real major concerts going on around here right now but there are plenty of clubs (in dallas) so looks like if I try there i'll have a long drive regardless =\

    Thanks for the info folks, much appreciated and i'll use it.

    Now another question. How do I go about asking? I mean, what would you suggest the method of approach? So far I've just been asking "Hey hows it goin? I'm a bit new to the city and was wondering if you knew where someone might find some green?"
    or something along those lines.

    Do anything but that. That is an incredibly bad idea, because the people that work at headshops tend to have strict policies against people looking for weed in or near the shop, and it's a very good way to get yourself banned from the premisis or even arrested in a worst-case scenario.

    Just ask people. It's hard, but it works, SOMETIMES. the worst that can happen is... nothing.

    Work on getting new friends who smoke then...or at least new friends in the area. They're bound to know someone who knows someone. Get out and do something social!

    That will take time :( Like I said i'm ready to be stoned yesterday lol. But patients I spose =\

    I suffer from social anxiety(when sober) and find it hard to approach strangers, even with people I know so my asking strangers already is somewhat of a miracle already!

    I suppose i'll just keep on tryin what i'm tryin then. This town seems dry, and I can spot a stoner out of a group of nonstoners, and have yet to find but a few that are noticeable.

    You have to know people to get hook ups.

    You'll need to socialize, make friends, and possibly get the fuck out of the bible belt.

    well i recently, moved a couple provences over for the summer (im in cananda) and had a ver hard time finding a hook up, i basicly asked anybody between the ages 15-25 if they knew where i could get soem green, nobody here smokes weed and it is madd hard to get, eventually i found a good dealer, but he is dry right now so as am i.
    dunno if that helped but its what i did:)
