  1. So after over a month of trying to find a viable seed i got my hands on some ok, random bagseeds. Just figured i would get this thread started for the future. They just popped 2 days ago, and hell, youve all seen seedlings before but why not shiw some pics for reference :p

  2. Nice! What types of lights and soil are you using?

  3. 2 55 watt red spectrum CFLs, 2 23 watt blue spectrum, and a cheap 50 dollar LED from ebay, Dual spectrum.

  4. Goona be adding more 55 watt blue spectrum bulbs after i get a peice of plexiglass to go undernearth them to decrease the heat. Im not home right now but i think the soil is african violet potting mix, with 50% perlite. Theyre both 12-9-9 nutrient enriched. I will be buying som fox farm soil in about a week for transplanting.

  5. I just got some new bulbs

Theyre pretty cool, thiner tubes, smaller ballasts, which means less heat, nice lumen count. So now im runnin 3 of those, one 2 23 watt normal style cfls, and one 55 watt 2700k until i get some plexiglass, and i might get a 125 watt 2700k aswell. Might turn out with some nice dense nugs. Ill post some pics of the babies in the morning. Theyre scooting along pretty nicely.

  6. Subbed. Looks like a nice setup. Good luck!

  7. If you really want to grow some beautiful tasting buds, why don't you think about mixing your own organic soil?

My temps are something i need to figure out.... You can see were the wireless thermometer is, and the reciever. The reciever displays the wirless temp on top and the bottom is of where the reciever is.... It says were the reciever is placed is up to 10 degrees hotter than where the wireless is. What gets me is when placing my hand in the cabinet it feels the same temp all around, and doesnt feel anywhere near 90, maybe 82 at the most, but the plants also have a fan blowing on them.. i guess what i need help with is what should i take as the real temp? And is that temp good enough for the babies to stay happy.

Some new pics. They popped out the soil 10/30 so they are 7 days old. I believe they are growing slow, because my temps have been a little high (max 92) i cant figure out how cfl growers are able to manage them. With 4 26 watt 5000k and 2 55 watt 2700k, 2 exhaust fans, 5 intake holes, 1 circulation fan. People say to have thr bulbs even as close as 3 inches from the plant, but this is 2 1/2 feet, still creating a ridiculous amount if heat, the lights dont burn to the touch because of my airflow but still create all thaat heat.

  10. Sorry about that. The app crashed only posted 1 pic 3 times and 1 other pic. They are of the same plant, and its actually only growing 1 leaf for the second node.

    Here are the other 2.

  11. Is that Mylar or aluminum foil that you have as your reflective surface?

  12. Emergency (fire) blankets from the hunting section at walmart.... I just, kinda revamped the cabinet. Made it alot neater, and added i think, 12 1 inch intake holes to the floor along with the 2 inch squared hole, and cleaned underneath it (had a TON of wood peices/shavings under it) starting them on 18/6 from 24/0 starting tomorrow at noon. I found a few FEM Purple Power seeds from my last grow so i started germing one of them, so im sure i have atleast one female. Still waiting to get the money for a sheet of plexiglass to go under the lights, so i can add more wattage, and control my heat... Waiting on my temp readings to see if the 1 inch holes helped at all. When i check that i will also take pics.

  13. Decided to put one of my 55 watt cfls about 3 inches from the little girls, with a fan blowing on them and the light, heres a pic.

I did this last night, looked at them this morning, temp is 86, one of them is looking droopy, the tips of the plant are pointing down almost to the soil. Im goona go take a pic before i leave for work.

  14. Im not really sure if the pics are goona post. It keeps crashing when reaching 100% if they dont post it should work when i get to work.

  15. This is how i have the setup now. Ill post some pics of the babies later they are doing amazing after i let them dry out. Watered them about 3 hours ago.

  16. Get rid of the fire blanket! They aren't very reflective and trap A LOT of heat. You're better off painting it flat white or just buying Mylar or Panda Paper. They look pretty good otherwise.

  17. i find the heat the CFL ballasts produce coupled with the heat those terrible plug adapters produce just isn't worth the hassle. go for less bulbs/higher wattage. Why use 4 26W when you can get one 105W?

  18. On a tight budget. 3 26 watters cost me 10 bucks, and each 55 watt cost me 14. If i shouldnt use the plug in adapters what should i use? The "lamp" sockets? I suppose i could probably buy a 125 watter to replace the 4 26 watt. Just goona take a few weeks. I need perlite more than anything right now. The soil for 2 of them just isnt draining well enough. Watered them today after 4 days, and they felt pretty light, and it was dry about an inch down the top of the soil. And now they are droopy as a mofo. I guess im goona have to wqit about a week for those 2 to make sure its dry.

  19. instead of the fire blankets get a staple gun and staple some A4 or A3 printer paper around the box white will trap allmost no heat and white is white becuse it reflects the most light away from itself whereas black will trap the light and turn it into heat. Good luck

  20. Im goona check the white paper out, actually sounds legit. Heres some pic updates.

First 2 are the same plant, the new growth is kinda purple and green. And the older leaves are kinda twisty. The other 2 are still sufferig from over watering.
