after months of searching and mounds of debt i found a job delivering food. the business has a pretty cool way of doing it too. lets say you want to get some food, but you don't want to leave your house. you call the business and place an order for 1 of the 20 restaurants we associate with. the business then calls the restaurant and places the order. then they send one of the delivery drivers a text message with the location of the restaurant and the address of the customer. obv we then deliver the food to the address. we charge them the meal plus our services which usually ends up being a lot of money, but w.e...someones buying it. usually a meal that costs around $60 ends up costing them about $90. I get a whopping $2.50 for every delivery plus tip so it averages out to be about $7 a delivery. i don't get paid hourly. just the 2.50 plus tip. the only thing i like about this job....it's the fucking PERFECT stoner job. i don't have to do anything until i get a text with the order. when i'm not doing a delivery i can do w.e. i can go chill with friends, smoke some weed, deal a lil if i was stupid enough to. second day working there, so idk what the pay will be like, but i did the math and it averaged out to be about $1000 a month. so for a 20 year old living with the rents, that's damn good money. just thought i'd share....do you have/have you had a similar job?
That sounds pretty rad. And It's a stoner friendly job. You don't get any compensation for gas though, right?
na no compensation for gas, but it's all good cause most of the deliveries are within 5 miles of the restaurant. and if it's far away i get a little bit more $ for it which is nice. but yea man total stoner friendly job. i'd be high all day if i could afford it haha
Yeah, be quick and polite as shit and you might get awesome tips. I had a buddy who worked Pizza delivery and some days he'd come home with mad tips. Drunk people would give him big tips too haha.
Just applied at Papa Johns to be a delivery boy. Hopefully we can be brothers in the Delivery-Boy Fraternity.
usually i can take my time because most of the orders have been paid for with credit over the internet so the tip is already included. whats nice though it the text i recive that has the order tells me when it's cash so i can pick and choose which deliveries i need to be quick with. tips have sucked so far, but it's only my second day. i get tips and the 2.50 for each delivery on a pay check every tuesday. boss said it usually averages around $250 $300 which is pretty damn good imo
Even though that's horrendous pay, it suites the job since you could do absolutely anything until you get the text then what a 20 minute drive then more chillin Congratulations on finding a job
I'd be the perfect job if the pay didn't suck but still it seems pretty chill man, id be high 24/7 if i had that job.
i dont get it, why would anyone use this service? cant they just go out and get it themselves??? plus most places have home delivery anyway.
thanks man thanks. the pay isn't great but it isn't bad either. i get about $7 a delivery. if a make 10 deliveries a night that's $70 - about 20 in gas. better than minimum wage. yea man that was a big ass meal though, plus it was a really nice restaurant not my first choice of pay, but it's better than nothin, right? thanks man hey...some people are just like that. they'd rather be lazy and spend an extra $20 rather than go out and get it. it's their money....idgaf as long as the tip is good also idk about where you live, but here there are only a few places that deliver. especially since our services are free to the restaurant
this is exactly like the alchohol delivery services, i think it cost us like $8 extra for delivery fees, but then eve stopped and got us smokes to haha
Yea not alot of money but u dont have to do shit. Its basically crusin around and gettin paid to do it. My job at macys sucks ass. U actually have to work lol. My friend is a delivry guy for a chinese resturant.
