Earlier this week a couple of my friends and I ordered some seeds. I have just been growing crap bagseed in crap rubbermaids. Now that I have invested in a few good strains, I thought it would be a good time to upgrade to a cabinet. Granted it isn't the best out there, but it is MUCH better than those freakin tubs and it gets the job done. My initial idea was to have two levels so that I could have a veg and a flower section, but it is looking more like I will just have the one section and have bigger plants. Still have a few things I want to do: make a light reflector, get a nice exhaust and carbon filter, but it might be a week or two before I get that stuff in the cab. It is almost completely light prof, a few gaps here and there but I am working on getting them all out. I got some light hanger pulleys which are pretty awesome. They make moving the lights so much easier. I can't believe I didn't get a cabinet sooner. Best decision ever. All the plants that are in there currently are crap bagseed from seed which my friend toasted while I was out of town and a few clones that weren't kept under light very well and have stretched considerably. I plan on just flowering these and then starting a new grow with the seeds I am getting. Hopefully that one will be a little more successful than my past "grows" if you can even call them that.
That cabinet is cool. That's how I was going to start but then I got a spare room open and was able to use it to grow. If I were you I would make it 2 sections so you can keep those strains you paid for and just close them. I was also considering SOG in a cabinet since its less space, but I don't know how you like it.

Looks good except that part about your friends....just be careful with that, I assume they are good friends If it were me, I'd take clones of the bagseed just in case the smoke was good...that way if there's one you like you can keep a mom going. I know everyone says that i f it's crap seed it'll be crap weed, but the same guys talk about how minute details in the growing and curing can affect taste and potency. I'd smoke some and decide if it's crap or not. You never know if the stuff you got was cut later or earlier (obviously not TOO early if you have mature seeds from it) than it should have been.
Yeah they are very good friends, I live with them, lol. I have already started flowering all the plants that I have left and I have not had such good luck cloning flowering plants. I would rather just start from scratch.
