I just read a thread about fimming and topping but I am a first time grower on day 7 and was wondering later on will I need to fim or top my plants? why do people do that?
you would need to do it if you have a short grow space to keep the plants from growing too tall. you can also do it to help increase light to the undergrowth if you are useing cfl's becasue the side of the plant would be faceing up rather than the top of it.
i perfer LST(low stress trainng) just as easy but your not remove plant material. there is a sticky somewhere that explains it well.
