After prunning - only cut fan leaves off main cola - I got carried away and cut the top fan leaves off in hopes the branches would thicken up. Before prunning
Fan leafs = solar panels. You just ripped off half the plants energy source. Plants work hard to build something from nothing and I see no point in removing anything at all. Practice more LITFA Leave It The Fuck Alone. My 2 cents. BNW
Prune from the bottom up. Doesn't make very much sense to cut away healthy leaves from the top. Consider buying a Three Way Meter and using it to judge whether leaves are receiving enough light, and use that info to decide whether to prune foliage.
Update! Came home today and they are all looking very healthy after less then 24 hrs. Looks like they are starting to grow outwards nows much better. I killed the lights and foliar sprayed the top and bottem of leaves. I likley won't try defoliating/prunning again unless Im cloning the lower branchs after reading the comments. Maybe I got lucky this time.
If you didn't cut the growy-bits off with the fan leaves, those are going to grow out in a big way. You might need to add extra support, but apart from that, I wouldn't worry about this at all. These are tough plants.
