Filter Sleeve

  1. So lately I'm noticing the temps in my large 4x8 just aren't were I really want them to be.

I'm looking at the dust cover for the carbon filter. It looks gross and feels gross as well. I'm convinced that this may be lagging down my exhaust.

The question is...how do you wash the pre filter? Washing machine, hand wash, soap? Or should I just buy a replacement?

  2. Washing machine works for me. I also keep spare sleeves so I can just swap out real quick.

  3. Thanks, I thought that too. I'm going to buy a few extras. That thing gets filthy and I'm sure it's depleting my exhaust.

  4. I have the screened vents in my tent opened, butt I also use 6' flex pipe for additional air supply. If you use them they make a screen to cover the opening to trap hair and some dust. That might help keep your exhaust filter a bit cleaner. Still have to wash occasionally though.
