I want to tape some better filters over the screened openings where the air will come in from on the tent. Just want to make sure it wont cut cfm down. It looks like the same material that a furnace filter uses except it isnt zig zagged. Do you think these would be fine?
anything that prevents 100% flow is going to restrict. if you have powerful fans dont worry about it. if your running duct boosters i'd avoid it to save CFMs. those wont do too much restricting, jut a tad.
I put air filters over my passive intake hole. I used just regular air filters used for your central HVAC unit and cut them to fit intake hole. I then just taped them over the hole. Works pretty well without reducing air flow too much. My exhaust blows through my light/cooltube then out to my exhaust hole. I might also put one over the back of my exhaust fan to keep debris from entering my cooltube. I've heard pantyhose works well too but haven't tried it.
