FGI uniformity pro flex 600 watt.

  1. Got this new light today and just got it hung. Still some more stuff to adjust but I'm very pleased so far. I have 5 plants under there and took some par readings to the top of each one. It's reading pretty uniform. Lights about 17", give or take, above canopy running at 100%. I'm going to try and hook up the wireless connection later so I can manage it with my phone. Also has a feature where if the sensor hits a certain temp, sensor is in the canopy, it will lower the power draw to get back in temp range. Pretty excited to get away from the blurple and see what kind of wireless features it has. 4. $800. They have it listed for $1000 but the guy is really cool to work with. I was looking at some of the Mars hydro stuff but went this route instead.

  8. See how this one works for sure but I'll probably buy two more soon and daisy chain them. Supposedly they can all run off the same controller and customize sunrise/sunset by the intensities on a timer. Now I got to learn about technology, so much to learn about growing weed. But hey no more doing this soon. IMG_20220310_192928.jpg

  9. Ouch $800 clams is starting to make the $100 bucks I need to pony up for four new T5HO ballasts seem like pocket change. I've got to finally do something as they've lost their brilliance and new lamps didn't improve anything but I hate changing a known part of the equation. LED's run cooler and that presents it's own dilemma as that 400 watts of Fluorescent does keep the shed 10 degs warmer then ambient.

  11. Yeah I got a 600 watt HPS running basically for heat. I just angle it at them. Led is expensive for sure. But I definitely did my research and it's hard to beat results. Migrow guy did a pretty convincing review.

  13. Good on you for not buying mars hydro

  14. He is great, his test seem to be unbiased which is great for all of us that don't feel like, or can afford, to try every light out there, although I'm making a great attempt at that already from uneducated purchases. I find it interesting that more people don't bite the bullet and get a Par meter to check what's being sold to them, since that is what makes led as effective as they are, and trust manufacturers to be honest. I understand the cost can be somewhat steep but I use my "spot on" regularly to adjust lights. I know something's I have to take there word for which is crazy because they are notorious for deception in marketing, so I like to be able to check what I can.

  15. Thanks. I wasn't very fond of the par maps of the Mars hydro fc e8000 that I was looking at. Not that I'm saying it's a good or bad light but in order to get the par I would like to the far reaches of the 4x4 area I would be blasting it with extremely high par in the middle that I'm not ready to make adjustments for yet so I'm not just wasting power on lights that the plants can't absorb. So the even light spread at a good par value was right up my alley. For 200 wat less power consumption, which I still need to test, is even better.

  16. I got the wireless control hooked up today. It was really easy to connect. I must saw it's a pretty nice feature. No more needing timers to plug in and it does have a setting to set a temp to start dimming the light and then when to power off. Pretty cool even though it seems to run rather cool just a nice back up. Can set 10 timers so it can be set to raise the intensity at whatever rate at whatever time. So it's pretty easy to have it ease on and ease out like a sunrise/set. All through the convince of the phone. The temps are in °c and the time is military and I don't know how to change it but pretty easy to figure out. Also assembly may be a little to easy, no bolts or screws,it just snaps together. So when I was getting ready to hang it, felt like it was going to fold in half. Haven't seen any problems for m it so far and don't expect to but it is an uneasy feeling when moving.

  17. The part of setting a temp is to lower intensity at whatever temp you decide to whatever intensity you decide. Then there is a shut down temp as well. Didn't type that very clearly.
